Ichigo's Sheet Music
NEWS ARCHIVE
January 28th, 2008 - Happy 2008!

Been a while since the last news post, so I thought I'd check in! We have LOTS of new sheet music being submitted to the site every month, remember to check the new submissions page to check out what's freshly posted! Remember, if you have made a transcription, submit it to Ichigo's! On that note, we've also relaxed the posting requirements a bit. The sheet music doesn't *have* to have Ichigo's Sheet Music at the bottom, but we would really appreciate it if it did! That way, people know where all your great sheet music comes from! I have also gone back and approved a bunch of entries that were not posted because of the watermark. Please remember, we will still not accept transcriptions that you did not do, so don't try to upload someone else's work! ^^ I am also in the process of making sure ALL sheet music on the site has a PDF file. Some sheets, especially older ones, don't have a PDF, only MUS and GIF. Slowly but surely, I am converting all these to PDF for your viewing pleasure! That's all for now! Have a great 2008, and keep playing!

May 23rd, 2007 - Submit your transcription to Ichigo's!

That's right! Once again, Ichigo's Sheet Music is accepting your transcriptions for consideration to be posted on Ichigos.com! Transcribers, get ready! To make it easy to submit music, Ichigo's has a brand new sheet music submission system! Check the newly added list to see the newly added transcriptions. Please be sure to read the Submission Guidelines before submitting your work to make sure it gets posted. Posting will typically take a day or so, but sometimes much faster! If you have any questions about the submission system, please ask in this forum thread. Thank you for your transcriptions!

November 19th, 2006 - New look!

To celebrate the upcoming 6th anniversary of Ichigo's Sheet Music and the 3rd anniversary of Ichigos.com, we've put together a brand new look! Officially, the anniversary of Ichigo's Sheet Music is in January (Ichigos.com is in November), but we are getting the party started by changing from pink to green! There will also be a new Forum skin coming soon as well.

Special thanks to Spoonpuppet for designing the wonderful header and for everyone who helped out making sure the site redesign didn't break anything! Be sure to check out the discussion thread on the forums!

February 20th, 2006 - Submission information

Due to a large backlog of sheet music, Ichigo's is not currently accepting any additional transcription submissions. There are over 40 transcriptions waiting to be posted, and I need time to catch up before any more can be accepted. If you have submitted a transcription which is not yet posted, please continue to be patient; I have not forgotten about you! ^^

If you are itching to transcribe something, the Sheet Music Request forum is always looking for active transcribers! Grab and account and see if you can transcribe any of the requests!

December 6th, 2005 - New sheet music!

Here are some sheets transcribed by Spoonpuppet for the forums. Enjoy, and if you would like more Tsubasa Chronicles sheet music, here's the info on purchasing the book. Enjoy~!

November 17th, 2005 - Checking in

Hello everyone ^^

I know I said new sheets were on the way, and that was loong ago. Don't worry, I'm still working on them, but I've been extremely busy with work and life in general. I'll get them up soon enough!

Also in case you haven't noticed the note to the left, in October we had over 100,000 visitors to Ichigo's! Wow!

October 7th, 2005 - Note on transcriptions

I must take a second to stress that submitted transcriptions must be your work and your work alone!. I have removed the copy of Bleach - Life is Like a Boat because it was brought to my attention that it was copied from Josh's transcription of the song. If you would like the sheet music, please download it from Josh's website.

I'm still working on posting many transcriptions, stay tuned.

September 23rd, 2005 - Many sheets on the way...

Okay, it's been about a million years since the last update, however I've got good news! The transcribers have been hard at work and I have a ton of transcriptions to post to the site soon.

June 5th, 2005 - Update time!

Yay, it's time for a sheet music update! Thanks to all our transcribers out there who help provide us with these wonderful sheets! If you have sent in a transcription and it is not yet posted, let me know and I'll inform you as to what the problem was.

April 5th, 2005 - New transcriptions!

It's been a while since new sheet music has been posted, but here's a whole bunch of new transcriptions to make up for it! ^^; To start with, Spoonpuppet has provided us with these wonderfully-done transcriptions:

Also I am posting these great transcriptions sent in by Ichigo's contributors Tze and Curry Wu:

If you have sent in a transcription and it is not yet posted, drop me a line and I'll let you know why. Sometimes formats are incompatible and I can't open your file, or it might have been 'lost in the shuffle,' so to speak. ^^

March 22nd, 2005 - Site backend redesign

Well, after months and months of promising a backend redesign, I finally spent a chunk of time to get all the titles and sheets into a database. This will hopefully make the site easier to use! Here are the major changes:

  • There is now a search function to search all sheet music and titles on the site! If you are looking for a specific sheet or title, this is your best bet.
  • A complete listing of all titles on the site is now ready for browsing! this is perfect if you want to see what's available without clicking on every single letter.
  • Anime and Game sheet music are now combined into one listing.
  • The same great look and feel that you know and love has been preserved!
If you notice any problems with the redesign, please don't hesitate to contact me and let me know there's a problem! Enjoy the new site!

February 6th, 2005 - Addition to last update

Here's an addition to the last update with some more sheets!

Important! As of this update, all MUS files will be posted in Finale 2005 format. To read this format, you need Finale 2005 or Finale Notepad 2005. Please upgrade to this version to view or transpose MUS files.

February 2nd, 2005 - Update! Woohoo~

Well it's been almost 5 months, but the first update of 2005 is going to be a good one! Be sure to thank the transcribers for all their hard work, and enjoy the sheet music!

October 10th, 2004 - Here it is!

Three new excellent transcriptions! I was expecting more but ran into some file compatibility problems. I may have those up later, but for now please enjoy these transcriptions:

Remember, if you have transcribed a song from a game or anime title, please drop me a line!

October 4th, 2004 - Still here...

Don't worry, we're still here! I'm preparing to post a whole bunch of new sheets in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

June 22nd, 2004 - Technical update

It was brought to my attention that the links page was full of dead links! I removed a bunch, and recategorized them.

If you would like your anime/game music-related site posted on Ichigo's link section, let me know! Also, remember to return the favor by adding a link back to Ichigo's!

June 10th, 2004 - Finally! An update!

It's a good one though! A bunch of new transcriptions!
Please remember - if you have any compositions to share with the Ichigo's community, post them on the Composition Forum! And be sure to have a fun and musical summer!

March 13th, 2004 - Tons of new music!

Time for an update!

New transcriptions:
Thanks to everyone who has been sending in transcriptions and compositions! I have a ton of compositions to look at, so I'll have these up soon. I'm also working on a site redesign which will have a (searchable!) database. Stay tuned!

February 3rd, 2004 - New music

Hello!

I have added a few pieces from submissions over the past month:
Also, I have recieved some more advice on composing, and added them to the Compositions Article. If you are getting stuck when composing, take a look!

January 6th, 2004 - New Transcriptions!

Happy New Year!

Spoonpuppet has sent me some new transcriptions, including the long-awaited (and very well-done) Karenai Hana from Full Metal Panic!

She has also worked on a piece from the background music for Sailor Moon. Check them out!

December 28th, 2003 - Compositions

To close out 2003, it is my pleasure to post two brand new compositions by Spoonpuppetherself! The first composition is a very beautiful and lighthearted piano piece entitled Golden Afternoon. The second is a wonderful full score for piano, flute, and violin called Trinity. I have included MIDI, .mus and PDF files for both pieces.

Enjoy!

December 15th, 2003 - Compositions

Happy Holidays all!

Alex Kim has provided us with some very nice compositions. I have made these available in all the standard formats for your enjoyment! I've also done a bit of reorganization on the compositions page to make it easier to read.

December 7th, 2003 - New Sheet Music

That's right, new anime music to enjoy! I have received and posted the following transcriptions from R; check them out! Also, I would like to bring Finale Viewer to everyone's attention. This free program allows you to open the .mus files on this site. Not only can you print them directly, but you can transpose then into a different key before printing for use on different instruments or to make them easier to play on the piano. Click the link above to download it!

November 28th, 2003 - Bug Fixes

I have fixed a few bugs on the site. First of all, the music for .hack//SIGN had mysteriously disappeared. I have relinked the # and H links in the Anime Music section! Also, I have updated the instructions on the email/contact page to cover sheet music submission instructions.

Enjoy!

November 23rd, 2003 - Backend redesign

I have gone through every page of ichigos.com and switched almost everything from tables to CSS. Hopefully this will fix some of the browser compatibility problems and make the site faster. I have changed a few parts of the design, but for the most part I left Spoonpuppet's design intact.

The contact page now has a proper feedback form on it, so please drop me a message!

Please read (or re-read) the FAQ page! I have updated and changed a few things, so please pay close attention!

Oh, and the price of ichigosmusic.com has gone up to $3,999. Any takers? lol
