No it's not weird, it's IMO one of the best instruments to carry most anime music melodies =)

Look for Bb sheets if you want to play in the same key as the original music (most of my recent transcriptions have a Bb instrument part that carries the melody), but if you don't mind the key, all sorts of piano sheets can be played as well.

Still, it's much easier if you have any specific pieces in mind.

Nice to hear. But i accept any anime songs thats good. Piano sheets...they are complicated to read as a trumpet player. (well for me)

Hmm... If you're still looking for anime songs to play on the trumpet, you can try this one I just arranged. It's called "Katayoku no Icarus", from "H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~".

It's a full ensemble arrangement, so look in the parts zip file and find the "Melody in Bb" part, which is for instruments like trumpets. Its main melody is very simple to play on a trumpet IMO, key signatures being G and A, the range is also very manageable, and there are no special techniques or fast notes.

Here's how the original sounds like: Youtube Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUAS6PECPi4&feature=related).

Give it a try!

It's coming...

Got the melody and most of the piano chords down, just adding on the background strings and stuff now...

Wohoo, another transcription done... Free advertisement yay!

Eternal Blaze - ensemble, from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's.
Fairly good song, Bb and C instrument carries melody, and there's an electric guitar solo in there that's pretty funky. I envy whoever is skilled enough to play the violin I part... Seems nearly impossible from a trumpet player's perspective =p

The trumpet part itself is very easy though; the song's mostly in key of C and D, and the highest note is only like a F# on the staff.

For how the original sounds, click here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZAuHet6AzE).

Edit: bah, I think the dynamics are off, so the midi sounds a little different =(

Hehe, my transcriptions aren't good or numerous enough to deserve its own website; plus, I'm lazy =D

Maybe in due time...

How can you play much on an instrument with like 3 notes?

3 different instruments on the same seat.
As you can see it's for a band.
Although if violin, or other strings instrument, it is playable, but as I said, usually they are split up.

If you mean how some instruments only have 3 notes to play....then.........blame on gotank =P

I know about the arrangement is for a band, but if you wanted to play something alone with a trumpet, isn't it hard since they have 3 notes?

If you're referring to the fact that many brass instruments only have three valves... they can play the whole scale by using different combinations of the three keys as well as different air control.

And I don't recall giving any instrument part only 3 note to play =p

13th Struggle for Trumpet (http://www.box.net/shared/u48firikos)

I'm not a Trumpet person, so if some of the high notes are kind of impossible to reach i wouldn't know.

Oh and i rushed, so i forgot to add the Title/Composer info.

they have alot more than 3 notes
try diffrent combonations with the notes, then doubling it by pinching your lips
together. All the notes can be played in 3 diffrent octoves I think. @_@ it hard to play the high notes cause as you must know trumpet is a pretty low instrument.;)
