I hope it's not a repeat of Nightmare Before Christmas . . sure, it was a great movie, but doing the same thing all over again with Corpse Bride? o.0 From what I can tell from the trailer (forgive my ignorance if I'm wrong), the halloween concepts/characters and art style (what was it called, stop motion animation?) are similar. The only thing different is the story . . *shrugs* I'll still end up seeing it sooner or later, haha.

That is what Tim Burton is famous for, his animation styles and stories. They're supposed to be good, or so I'm told.

I think that they really shud eplain more in the trailers, couse all i know so far is that ......a bunch of dead people are mistaking him for being dead...

He ran away from the alter on his wedding day. While in the forest, he put his ring on what he thought to be a small tree, but actually it was the undead bride. Now he is to marry her because of the ring he put on her. Or so I'm told.

I saw a longer trailer last night.

yea, tim burton is famous for his animation styles...it's his original thing, so he's not really copying his own movie. it's like how ppl use comp. animated things.

crackthesky

I saw two or three trailers! They were AWESOME! I also got a few clips! (Come on Rita, be good and don't do anything that sabotoges(sp?) the plans for the movies. Beter yet, Do NO damage!)

Marlon
September 20th, 2005, 08:08 pm
Yay! So far Rita has done nothing!

To me at least... :\

And most of the American cartoons are uter crap. Most children cartoons made in America usualy end up in songs and action sceens that arnt needed. That is why I stick with Studio Ghibli movies, nothing beats Totoro ;)

Has anyone seen this movie yet? I like the story, but I cant stnd movies that break into songs and crap :/

I think people got the wrong message from my post. Al complained about Tim Burton's films always being alike, the style and such, just a different story. I tried to say that the same goes for basically any film. Put some actors together, think up some story and you have a film. Tim Burton replaces the actors with these.. puppet thingies and changes the story.

People rag on American films. Can't stop that. Although there are certain exceptions to the "American film makers make utter crap" statement. If you go underground in American society you'll find that there are great mini-movies, and so on. Only people with large amounts of money get their stuff on the big screen.
Well regardless of my spamming.
I personally can't wait to see this movie. I'm a fan of Tim Burtons movies though I do have to say that sometimes he can be over-rated. As that seems to happen so often to other directors *cough*GeorgeLucas*cough* I'm anticipating what you guys think of the movie when you see it. In the mean time I'm going to download it as to not leave my place of residence. Having no car sucks!

tim burtons movies are all the same, because thats the style that he makes them in. its the same for most other directors, so there isn't really much to complain about.

Okay, so I finally saw the movie, and I'm glad that it wasn't the same as ANBC. This one's more artful, and the contrast between the living and the dead is very symbolic. Very interesting, and I loved the meaning of the butterly as well . .
