I'm currently creating a stragedy game and i need music for 'em:heh: . Calling all aspiring composers:unsure: could any of you compose some songs for my game? Of course i won't take 'em for free:lol: but i can't give anything to oversea's :heh: i can only pay s'poreans cuz i live here...

i wont mind helping you to compose but would u roughly describe ur game? What kind of background & setting of the game you're creating? Thanks. ^^

and what format do you want mp3, midi or both?

is the game futuristic or medieval... whats the game´s structure will there be an intro/outro, basicly what is the game about?

Well, you can browse the whole forum searching for compositions, choose the ones you want and then contact the composer to negotiate.
I am a begginer in music composition :whistle: but feel free to check my (only) music and if it suits you (probably not...) PM me...

Uh well... the game i plan to create would be like Diabolo and Warcraft style so i think some ambient mp3's would do well. ya know what i mean?

Gamewise I have not come up with a name yet, and the only set idea on the game so far is that there is 2 worlds (borrowed from Cv :heh: )

If anyone also got suggestions pls post 'em. will include all your names in the credits.

Oh yea there will be 2 different playing modes in the game. stradegy and Rpg classic.

What engine will you be using to actually make the game, or would you code it yourself?

Uh i cant make the game yet actually :heh: i'm just making blueprints. Still if you can help in anyway, credits to you all.

i'll try to see what i can do. However i'm not really familiar with Diablo's or Warcraft's style. eheheheheh. I'll give my best shot. I'll post up the music once i've done composing. ^^

Perhaps you should actually start to make the game before you ask people for their music. It will waste people's time to compose something for a purpose that never comes to me. And you should show some screenshots and perhaps a bit of gameplay before you ask as well, so people know that they are not investing their time into a worthless game.

well. we can compose some music which doesnt have to be related to the game play. It's hard to compose the opening theme though coz we need to watch the opening movie first b4 composing it so that it'll fit in nicely. Maybe we can compose the main theme, battle theme and other tracks. It's hard to compose music for pieces like town theme, enemy theme and character theme as we have no specific details on who's our enemy, who's our character and their roles in the game and etc.

dont be so god damn negative... who would want to make a game with just negativity, even before somethings even posted?, I think its great that someone finaly gathers the bravery to even post the idea of a game in here...^_^

P.S Nightmare. I know what you're thinking. Do you think i have time to even think about games for now? my GCE 'O' levels are coming up... I have to either get all plans done by 1st Jan 2006, or forget the whole buisness till this time next year! I decided to take a break from studies for now, so i go around asking ppl for help.

Well, if you don't mind that your pieces that you've created specifically for this game goes to waste, by all means go ahead (personally, this has happened to me quite a bit, where the developer just stops working on a game due to various issues, usually lack of interest). The current situation seems very tentative at best, as even Hellragen himself seemingly admits that that it's not even quite through the conceptual phases. (By the way, Hellragen, if you're serious about paying people for music, you should set up a Paypal account, and electronically wire money to internationally.) So with that said, if all you are looking for is some inspiration, don't let me stop you ;).

i dont mind about wasting my time on composing music for his game as there's always an alternative for his game's music. If the music i composed for him arent being used, i can still always use them for my other albums as i have two of my own game albums. :D
