Hey, I'm new but I've been trying to read through the thread, so I am sorry if what I request is already up.
I'm pretty desperate for new flute sheets, so I'd almost take whatever you've got, but in particular I'm looking for The Merry Go Round of Life, Country Roads, Kaze no Toorimichi and Tonari no Totoro (of course, for flute).

Reason for editing: Found some listed songs.

Hello ^^
I am looking for sheet music for the theme song of Howl's Moving Castle.
I would like for it to be for a full orchestra, but just strings are fine too. I did find a site that has it, but it was in the MUS format, which I can't open.
So, if anyone can find me the sheet music in the pdf format, transcribe it for me, or tell me how I can have my computer able read MUS files without paying for softward, that would be great!
thanks in advance ~~
Edit: I see that there is already sheet music for violin, viola, cello, but I am looking for music for more of an ensemble, not just the solo parts :D

Hi, I'm probably the person who arranged the sheet you're trying to get at. I wrote it using Finale PrintMusic 2006, but you should be able to open it with the free version of the finale software that you can download from their website.

If that can't do it, drop me an e-mail from my site, and I'll see what I can do. Just to let you know, it comes packaged with The Promise Of The World, and total run time is a little over 10 minutes.

Hello, I'm sort of new here, and basically just joined to find sheet music :heh:, but all the versions of sekai no yakusoku for piano I've found don't have a part I really liked in the theme song: this is the section of the song that is purely instrumental; it sounds like a waltz. Am I being confusing? I don't mean to complain, I just can't seem to find a piano adaptation of that section. :upset:

So if anyone has time to complete this request, it'd be really helpful

Sekai no Yakusoku is usually paried up with another song, The Merry-Go-Round of Life, which is instrumental. There are sheets for that as well. You can probably find them here, otherwise look on Josh's site.

Hi!
I just recently joined seeing as how a lot of music for Studio Ghibli was being transcribed, and thought if I could ask for some requests that anybody can do if they want possibly for the violin. I would really like:

-Inochi no Namae (Spirited Away)
-Toki no Uta (Tales from Earthsea)
-Ashitaka and San Theme (Princess Mononoke)
-Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind Theme

Thanks to anyone who decides to transcribe these pieces!

For Toki no Uta, I transcribed it for Piano & Voice, I think the Voice part will be convenient for you, just try: http://mickay.jill.free.fr/score/#24.

For the rest, you should try http://josh.agarrado.net.

Hi,

i'm looking for help with arranging the piece "Merry go round of life" (Howl's Moving Castle) for Electone. I've just started arranging it from the full orchestral score, but tend to leave them undone in the past, would appreciate it if someone could help me arrange it.

I'm currently using an EL-500, and it has:
- Upper keyboard: 2 voices, 1 lead voice (lead voice can be pushed down to lower keyboard)
- Lower keyboard: 2 voices
- Pedals: 2 voices (both can be pushed up to lower keyboard)

Thanks!

Like half the people here.. I'm new XD
I was wondering if any of you had Merry Go Round of Life for a string orchestra. I want to try and get my orchestra conductor to let us play it for my school orchestra! :D Unfortunately, I can't find any for just string orchestras.
Also, Twebb: I saw your site with the song, but I didn't actually look at the music because I don't have Finale and I can't download it right now. But i read the description and unfortunately we dont have an accordian, singer, and etc, but maybe thats just for the promise of the world part.
To all other arrangers: thanks for all the great uploads XD I've found so many good songs :) Keep up the good work!

Check out Twebb's arrangements on his site there. It's under 'The Promise of the World' When you go to the Howl's Moving Castle page. It's actually two songs in one. First is The Promise of the World, and the second is Merry-Go-Round of Life.

Could someone please transpose or transcribe this for me?

Song: Country Road
Instrument: Viola (harmony) and voice
Anime: Whisper of the Heart

I found the violin music (http://forums.ichigos.com/showthread.php?p=353416), but it goes too high for the range of a viola, and I was wondering if someone could perhaps transpose it for me? If there needs to be a key change, that's okay. I really would appreciate it :) (Violas read alto clef if anyone needs to know)!

Got it attached since I couldn't send and email properly. Also for anyone else who wants it

this isn't for the violin (see the bottom F note on some parts- violin can't go that low), nor is it the right composition for the in-anime version of country road, you can just see it in the sheet music. Does anyone have the real sheet music to the violin part? I've been wanting to play the beautiful piece....

Here's the real violin part, I believe. The main site is here (http://www.freewebs.com/infinityex/groupsheets.htm) and they also have a cello part, flute/voice, and some other parts to play with the violin but I think the violin could stand alone with melody.

If anyone could transpose the above violin melody for alto clef (viola) I would be very grateful.

Hello all. I am trying to transcribe the acappella version of Kimi wo Nosete from Laputa. This is the Suginami Childrens Choir version. I have included both the acappella and worded version. Any help would be appreciated. I can figure out the main chorus, its just the chords and the other voices that are throwing me off.

I know there is actual music for choir out there, as I have seen the cover. But I cannot access it or find an available copy.

Aah, I finally found this thread! I've been searching the internet forever for certain Ghibli pieces, with no avail. Perhaps some lovely people could fufill some requests? Sorry if it's a lot, but I'd rather not have to deal with Logic anymore, it gives me a headache (attempting to convert to MIDI is so confusing!).

Ponyo (both are from the Image Album):
Ponyo Kuru
Imouto Tachi

Porco Rosso (from the OST):
The Wind of Time ~ When A Human Can Be a Human

Princess Mononoke (from the Image Album):
Yakkul

Spirited Away (OST):
Procession of the Spirits

Tales from Earthsea (Piano Plus):
Town (if anything, do this one - I've been trying to get it down by ear, but it's been difficult)

My Neighbors the Yamadas:
Theme
Takashi and Matsuko's Tango

The Cat Returns:
Baron
Pastorale

I would prefer if these were transcribed for Flute (/Oboe/Recorder/anything in C and treble clef). Reading piano music is tolerable, but I'm not too good at reading bass clef, and chords are annoying.

Again, sorry for the huge amount of requests! I would appreciate if they were all fufilled, but really, no rush whatsoever!

Thank you! <3

Hey nightpwnsj00, i think that some of those songs are in this thread (iv'e been looking around) :) and you might want to try googling josh's anime sheet music website. it's got TONS of stuff. and anyone else who has been searching, sometimes you have just got to look around. i say start at ichigos and then josh's and from there google and links from josh's :) good luck!!!

I agree. I've been going through this board (again), and there are SO many requests/copies for The Merry-Go-Round of Life, it is ridiculous. Also the ending and vocal songs (Promise of the World, Always With Me, The Rose, Terru's Song etc. etc.), but I prefer the actual soundtrack music. Bummer. :|

NeverTwiceSaysAslan
July 9th, 2010, 01:50 pm
yes there are a lot of ending songs and you would think that they just might possibly look for those songs and THEN realize that they are very findable and available for printing and leave everyone else free to work on the soundtrack songs. but i understand that requests are necessary for different instruments and all that :) i am actually listening to the merry o round life right now :) oh! you might like this (and many others will too i'm sure, unless i'm one of the last ones to find it), on itunes there is a "piano de ghibli" album (digital only) with many of the great songs on piano available for purchase! and it has songs other than princess mononoke (love that one!!!) and spirited away!! which is significant because those are the only ghibli albums released in the U.S. besides the ponyo theme song and "hisaishi meets miyazaki" album. that was a ramble - i'm done now :) wait! one question for nightpwnsj00: what is your favorite ghibli? just curious

nightpwnsj00
July 9th, 2010, 08:25 pm
I actually already have the Piano de Ghibli album! It is one of my favorites.

And my favorite Ghibli movie? That's really hard! I think it's between Nausicaa, Mononoke and Porco Rosso. Maybe Castle in the Sky, too. Aghh, there are too many to choose from!

NeverTwiceSaysAslan
July 12th, 2010, 01:35 am
yeah i agree. i like Nausicaa and mononoke the best. i have not seen porco rosso yet but i love all of the others that i've seen! howl's moving castle was on tv yesterday and i was SO excited because i hadn't seen it yet so i got to watch most of it. it was great! i was really surprised that it was on tv but it was an obscure channel :) anyhoo, did you know that Tales from Earthsea is supposed to be released in the US on august 13? EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!

i have another request for those out there who might possibly view this thread and know where this is - from totoro: the drenched monster (when they are at the bus stop)

nightpwnsj00
July 16th, 2010, 02:08 am
Yeah, I heard about Tales from Earthsea. I've already seen the dub, and while it's not the best Ghibli film ever, it's pretty decent. The music is excellent though, and some of my favorite pieces come from TFE.

Ponyo has recently become one of my favorites because I love Fujimoto. Lame reason, I know. :D

Good news, folks. I just created a fresh torrent that contains my (somewhat old but large) collection of Hisaishi / Ghibli sheet music. I want you all to help me spread the torrent (by seeding and/or mentioning it). The one thing in this torrent that you won't find elsewhere for sure is the PDF book that contains some rare / never-transcribed sheets from Ghibli's movies. I also posted said PDF book online from gigle.ws (http://gigle.ws/hayao%20miyazaki%20amp%20studio%20ghibli%20best%20 album%20for%20easy%20piano%20sheet%20music%20.1438 344.html) and scribd.com (http://www.scribd.com/doc/34895670/Hayao-Miyazaki-Studio-Ghibli-Best-Album-For-Easy-Piano-Joe-Hisaishi-sheet-music).

But here's the actual torrent. It is titled "Joe Hisaishi and Studio Ghibli Sheet Music Collection" and here's a magnet link (magnet:?xt=urn:btih:KZBPER6CNXW37J2BEACTOTFYCMOA3 NLS) and here (http://www.bitenova.org/det/33vsi) are (http://www.seedpeer.com/details/2880881/Joe-Hisaishi-and-Studio-Ghibli-Sheet-Music-Collection.html) some (http://bittorrent.am/torrent/4974679///Joe-Hisaishi-and-Studio-Ghibli-Sheet-Music-Collection.html) torrent links. I realize that some of you might already have what it offers, but nevertheless, it might be helpful to others :)

Enjoy and help spread the word :) Also, don't forget about great fan site with lots of sheet music: joehisaishi.net/partitions (http://www.joehisaishi.net/partitions)

Here is every bit of Ghibli sheet music for flute that I have been able to find on this site and others. It's taken me a lot of searching to find these, so I thought I'd put them all together to make it easier for future searchers. If any more flute pieces turn up please add them to the list.

Note: It will take me two posts to attach all the songs. So look at the next post too.

Hello,
I'm new around here and I scoured through this forum looking for a piece that I wanted (Merry go Round of life for clarinet if you wish to know).

I saw a couple posts that said they wanted a full orchestra arangement of Merry go Round of Life/Promise of the World.

I have the link to the full orchestra arrangement with Piccolo, Two Flutes, Soprano Recorder, Oboe, Alto Clarinet, French Horn (2x), Cornet, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Violins (2x), Violas (2x), Cellos (3x), Double Basses (2x), Soprano voice, Harp, Piano, and Accordian.

Anyone need it still?

And can anyone get me Merry go Round of Life for clarinet? I transcribed it but its very messily done.

Thanks

Maida

You could transpose the flute version of the Merry-go-Round of Life, and take it down an octave. It's in Bb so on clarinet it would be in the key of C, right?

I know this has almost definitely been asked for, but I'm brand new, and I don't feel like digging through all forty pages of this thread... ^^* So, I need sheet music for Kimi wo Nosete, from Laputa: Castle in the Sky - the one at the end with the lyrics. There is an official version of Merry go round of Life arranged for symphonic band out there on the market, here (http://catalog.bravomusicinc.com/index.php?main_page=product_music_info&products_id=806). It wouldn't be hard to transcribe a couple of parts into strings if anyone has a copy of this (which I doubt). But unfortunately I really don't feel up to transcribing for a full orchestra any time soon; in the summer maybe, but right now I have too many exams and papers to deal with to have any spare time for such a big project (if any at all).

EDIT: I am completely baffled. Why are so many people suddenly looking for the full orchestral version of Merry go round of Life? If someone could link me to a video or this or something, that would be nice. I did a (really) quick search and didn't find anything significant.

Are there any Studio Ghibli string orchestra scores lying around?
(Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello, Contrabass)
If they have a piano part, that's fine, since we happen to have several fantastic piano players in our group.
We're hoping on planning a Studio Ghibli themed concert. Unfortunately, scores are rather scarce.
Ideally, we'd like an arrangement with challenging, if not equally challenging parts. Most of the few scores we found sounded quite lovely,
but Viola, Violin 2 and Cello tended to be dreadfully boring. Mostly playing the same notes over and over.

I saw that somebody had posted that they had the full orchestra version but he had not logged on for a full two years so I highly doubt contacting him would work. Hi everyone!

I've (literally) read just about every post about Howl's Moving Castle sheet music, which were all about the main theme and The Promise of the World.

However, a few were about the song "Sky Stroll", sometimes referred to as "Stroll Through The Sky", or the Japanese title "Kuuchuu Sanpo".
Apparently nobody volunteered to transcribe that song. Since all these posts are approximatly five years old, I was wondering if someone would be
willling to give it (another) shot?

I would really, really, really(!) appreciate it! Especially when it will be written for violin :) I know the song is similar to the main theme, but I personally
like Sky Stroll better, especially the pizzicato at the beginning and the dramatic ending :)

Do you just want the violin part?

It would be great if you can do the other instrument solos as well, but if that's too hard then just the violin part is definitly fine :)

And also (I'm probably asking too much now) is a violin duet or a violin and piano duet hard to transcribe, because I would like to play a duet. Please tell me it I ask too much, because I'm already very happy if the song is just transcribed! :)

Hey there everyone!
I've spent the last hour looking for this particular version of Merry Go Round, but no matter how hard I try, my arrangements just won't sound the same.
It's a beautiful violin and piano version a little faster than usual, I would really appreciate if anyone could remember if they found the sheet somewhere or, if they have the time, try going for the arrangement.

Thanks a lot guys!!!

Hello! I want to say I'm trasncribing Arrietty's OST. I think it would be interesting for this thread. I've done the Arrietty's song, and I also want to do Sho's Lament, Our House Below, The Neglected Garden and Spiller.

I will do a piano version, and in some songs, also a ensemble version.
So, if you're interested, check out my blog (in my signature). ^^

Hello, Moonlightviolinist. I'd be happy to transcribe this for you. Do you just want the melody, and exactly like the scene from the movie?

I am new here. I can't see what has been made already. I would really like Arrietty's from The Secret World of Arrietty. I have not been able to find it for a clarinet, just piano. I would like it for a B-flat clarinet. It would be even better if it could be made for a clarinet choir (Bb clarinet (3-7 parts, but 3 minimum), Bass clarinet). Here is what it sounds like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_qHLqazNvk

Im on mobile and cant seem to edit so I will try this until I can get to a real computer. CORRECTION: The clarinet chior is 1 Bass clarinet and 1-7 regular Bb parts (doesnt have to be morethan 3). THERE IS NO Eb CLARINET!

Hi everyone,

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. It seems like there are a lot of talented people here!

I just started playing music. I am learning the french horn. Does anyone have any Studio Ghibli sheet music for the horn (the F horn, to be really specific)? I would really like to have them if you do. My favorite song is Pazu's Trumpet Solo from Castle in the Sky. My favorite movie is Howls Moving Castle.

Thank you so much! Keep up the good work!
