This is not a disscusion. I can care less for your opinions. But I have stories im going to share with you over the days, months and possble years. These are all real and I want you to think about them when you think your parents are unfair or your life is crappy.

Many things are not in chronological order because I just dont know. Many of these stories are just things my family have told me through out my life.

My whole family, the people who make me, grew up in Cambodia. If you know a bit about war history, there was genocide there in the 70's and 80's; saddly thats when my parents were children and teens. They had, say, five years of a childhood, and keep in mind it was still a third world country durring that period of my families life. So what they had for toys were things parents today wouldnt even give their children, but a lot of times they tell me they didnt have toys.

My mom lived in Phnom Penh, the capital and biggest city in Cambodia. My grandapa was a nurse, but because of lack of staff he had to do what a highly trained doctor would. So my mom lived a fairly good life compared to other people in the country at the time. My mom said when the genocide started, people went into buildings and houses, up and down the streets, all yelling for people to get out of their houses; it was a bit vauge but my mom said stated that people were trying to get money, clothes and other trinkets dear to them or what they thought they needed. Money had no value after that momment, and the Khmer Rouge took everything else that was of value to either keep for themselves or destory.

Within the work[slaves my parents say] camps, my family was split up. For a while my mom and her younger sister lived alone. This is also vauge because my mom told me this a long time ago, but my mom obviously took care of my aunt. There was a marsh or pond near where they would wash up and things. I dont know where they got food or anything, but I take my moms word that this happened. Keep in mind my mom is probaby age 8 - 12 at the time.

On my dads side many sad things happened. I lost 3 uncles that went off to look for help. My grandpa was off in the army or somthing, so all there was were the people I grew very close with: my dad, aunt and grandma [quite possably other relatives too]. My aunt said there was a night, probably one of many, where they had to sleep in a grassy area. There was gunshots all around and sparks in the air from artillerly shots. My aunt was probably 5-8 at that time.
