I have a tippmann 98 custom and IVE PLAYING PAINTBALL FOR 3 DAYS!
i want to get a flatline barrel and a decent stock.

In England we have parks or arenas where everyone gets the same type of gun and is put on a team. Then each battle has a different objective from capture the flag to just shooting all of the enemy.

my friend scares me cuz he used to be a professional in tournaments and stuf and his gun goes like...a zillion balls per second...so all i hear is like *RATATATATATATATATATATAT* for like 5 seconds i look nehind me and on my clothes and the pain sets in cuz i'm all greenish and yellowish like someone puked on me

Bleah, I hate when people use ridiculously expensive guns. It's so obnoxious.
"Hey look, I automatically win because my gun shoots 300 shots per second!"

As for me, I have a broken "Thunderbolt" I think it was called. It's an all-metal, double-barreled shotgun. It's pretty awesome. Haha. XD

What's broken on it? It leaks Co2. I could get it fixed, but I'd need to order special screws, and I can't be bothered with that. XP

I play. Been playing for a couple years now. I too have a Tippmann 98 but it's the older Model 98 not the 98 Custom. I use a 12" Smart Part's All American as my barrel.

I have tried the flat line. It's not great at all. It's not very accurate and if you do use it you have to use the expensive paint cause if you chop a ball in that barrel, your done for the day.

Someday I'll go to Skirmish USA and play. I really want to do one of their senario (http://www.skirmish.com/scenario.html) games like The Battle of Stalingrad or The Invasion of Normandy. Those games are huge! Last year they had 4008 players for their Invasion of Normandy game, a world record for the most people to play a game of paintball I believe.

Marbleizers are the way to go!

omg...my bf just got into that and joined CSPO (http://www.canadianscenariopaintball.com) with a bunch of his friends. it's pretty cool but, HOLY CRAP, it's EXPENSIVE!! x_x

as far as i know the gun is a Tippman A-5. plus he got these things:
vest, camo pants, camo jacket, full helmet, scope, gloves, knee pads, face paint, paintball canisters (like FIVE!), pressurized air tank (or something), gun cleaner, gun oil or something like that. and get this, everyone in the CSPO congratulated him for being the biggest spender on paintball equip! @_@
oh yea...and a CSPO iron-on patch and a name patch.

but i guess i MUST be fun if those guys will spend mad cash like that on paintball. lol. check out the CSPO site for videos and pics. it's pretty crazy. WAY cooler than speedball! (sorry cuz, don't mean to diss your team or anything :heh: )

My bro has a a5 those are nice guns lol. The real expense of paintball is well.....the paintballs.

Not really, just depends how much you actually play and how bad you suck at shooting. I play 6v6 games and I dont run through more than 100 paint balls. Just buy 2000 paintballs, should last you a month or more.

or go sniper, then you really save on the ballz XD
yeah i laugh at my friends who somehow...make an outline on me while i take 1 shot and go BANG...
if i'm annoyed i'll balltap em...i don't shoot taht much only when i think i have a shot

lol...maybe I should go sniper. I just need a decent barrel and go to outdoor world for some camo

I don't like paintball that much... The only time I played I got shot in the butt from point-blank range... I'll definitely miss those jeans. Though I did get the shooter back in the face. By accident, of course! though it WAS fun to watch them scream... :think:

that's true. but it also depends on what kind of paintball you're playing. if you're playing speedball then, sure, you could go through 100 in 15 minutes easy. this tactical thing my bf's into...2000 should be able to last you about 2 or 3 games at least. if you're a good shot that is. if you suck, then well, maybe 1 game. one game is about an hour i think. at least that's what it seems like from the CSPO website. :huh:

Buddies and I might be playing in a 200 vs 200 tournament this summer. :mellow:

Gotta love those battlefield size matches.
At tournaments we had endurance matches where you left only after you ran out of ammo or were tired of getting shot, and any number of people could come in on any side.

Playing night stealth paintball gets you paranoid. I shot a dude 30 feet away in the head with one shot! Man I was lucky. The only way I saw him was because He was wearing a white hoody so it looked like a marshmellow walking around in the woods. Man it was funny

There have been plenty of stupid moves in paintball's history. What about the dreaded 5-1 screw I'll run out and get shot that happens many many times.

maybe they were giving out prizes for best costume. i know they did that during one of the games my bf went to. i saw the video and there was some idiot dress in ALL WHITE. PLUS a Santa hat. if that doesn't say "i'm right here, please shoot me multiple times", i dont know what does. XD

usually, the only guys who wear bright colours are the camera guys so they WON'T get hit. now, for a player taking part in the game to do that, that's just plain stupid.
