it could of been the wind

but it wasnt

the darkness spread across the sky

it could of been a storm

but it wasnt

the cry from the man next door

it could of been pain

but it wasnt

the tears of a boy who has lost too much

it could of been rain

it could of been sweat

it could have been anything else

but it wasnt

it was tears

and i knew it

watching the rain

everyday

when i needed you
you werent there
when i screamed your name
you never were there
you never stayed
empty promises
sweet nothings
but i dont need you
you weren't there
where was i?

and of course my favorite,
