This post should be stickied for the masses.

I found a very, very handy online that could tremendously be useful to people who need transcriptions fast. It's a website where you can upload MIDI files to generate sheet music, instantly. After you upload you MIDI file, pages of sheet music will generate into multiple PNG files for you to download. I have tried this and it works.

HOWEVER, you can only upload a MIDI file once a day. Maybe if you are tech-savvy, you can find a workaround for this. Also, the file-size limit is 40 kilobytes.

They have a $20 yearly subscription, but I have not tried this yet. I'm fine with one conversion a day. :P

*Note: If you upload a MIDI file that plays more than one instrument at once, it'll generate every instrument into it's own staff grouped to that part of the song. That probably didn't make any sense... Just check it out. You can find the appropriate parts to play for your instrument or change things around to suit yourself, hopefully. ;)

Also, I have sources leading to a program that does this very same thing. I'll find out more about this soon. Or if anyone knows anything about this, please PM me about it.

If it were that easy, I wouldn't be making a transcription thread. There's always errors and/or difficult notes to read and play by.

What clarinetist says is right. Besides, there are FREE programs out there that take MIDI files (of any size) and spits them out as sheet music.

I can't belive people are actually buying this sort of crap. I'll close this thread now and edit out that link merely to get this scam of a product invisible from the good musicians on this forum.
