so how do you add soundfonts with sfz? I mean, I load sfz, then put in the sf2 file. When I play my midi, nothing changes.

Because you're playing a midi file. You need to export an audio file. I have SONAR 4, but I'm pretty sure SONAR 6 is similar.

Click on file, then mouse your way down to 'Export.' From then on, it should be explanatory. :)

You know what, I just found out that I had to change the output of my midi. It was on my Yamaha XG Synth as output, but when I changed it to 1 sfz 1, or something like that, I could hear the change.
