Plot Summary: Yorito Morimiya loves taking pictures of the sky so much that one day, he wakes up at 4 am to take pictures of the sunrise overlooking the bay. However, he is deterred when he meets a strange girl trying to force a vending machine that stole her money. Yorito helps her with forcing the machine but when the machine finally vends, the girl has mysteriously vanished.

Comments: This is an example of a very well made drama. It contains all the elements of a good tragedy: a hero/heroin with a flaw, a tragic turn of events for the hero/heroin, and a tragic death with some good results as a result. If you like the works of KEY Studios (Air, Kanon, Clannad, etc.) then this is a perfect match for you (though it was not made by KEY, the cast had some members from the studio working on it)! This is the greatest, if not the best drama for the year 2007 in my opinion. A must watch for this year. I personally would recommend the Doremi-Fansubs translation of this masterpiece.

sry for double posting, but i just gotta say, I LOVE THIS ANIME!!!!!!!!!!!! Quite funny, tragic, and realistic. Would probably go into one of my favorite animes ever!!! Do u have any other anime suggestions that are similar to this? or like elfen lied/deathnote. Arigato!

If you like the funny/tragic aspects, I'd suggest Gunslinger Girl and Air.

Well, Death Note has a few death gods in there, so if you like that kind of stuff, try Yu Yu Hakusho.

On episode 5, i would say its the same thing as Elfen Lied, but maybe elfen lied is sorta emo i guess, my fav. anime ^^. Sola copied elfen lied.... look at the storyline and everything, the setting etc. but i still love it

Elfen Lied is non comparible to Sola. The writer's background and general mood are entirely different. If anything, it copied Kanon and Da Capo, as that's where Sola's script writers came from.
