Apparently Nintendo does because they just made an update that stops the freeloader to work on a wii. What do you guys think?

Well yeah of course we need details, but what I say it shouldn't be a crime to do so. All you are doing is just buying your video game equipment right from the manufacturer because it would eventually come to America, England, Australia, or any other place. But also you bring it on your self to get the information booklet that is in japanese. I don't think it is a crime, but its not that nice to do to the companys in America or other places. Really like say you were ordering some clothes from France that had the design you wanted, would you really being causeing a crime? But do remember they are just saying this so they can make the money and not Japan. I really don't see much of a problem, because who knows what you want will really be made for the American continent. Because I do know some people that have imported games from that country like say the recently put out for the public in Japan Phoenix Wright 3. But just remember the item your getting is in japanese. (And also I don't know all the information for the product your talking about, so please inform us.)

People import other things besides games, and that's not a crime, so why should this be?

Isn't the "freeloader" technically illegal (in the USA), under the DMCA? There's no law against importing a Japanese Wii to play Japanese games, on the other hand.
