I don't know about all of you, but I like watching sad & emotional animes... are there any series or OVAs that has made you want to cry? ^^;

Saishuuheiki Kanojo - my favorite anime atm, and it's not gonna change -_- this is the most depressing romance anime ever to be made.. *sniff sniff*

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - very depressing.. another romance anime.. if you get a chance to watch this, don't stop until episode 2 :lol: those who have seen it understands -_-

Kanon - though it may seem boring at first, the 2nd half is sad..sad... sad! It keeps getting sadder and sadder until you hit the end ;__;

Fruits Basket - I haven't finished this one, but there's alot of parts that are really emotional and sad ;___;

Shingetsutan Tsukihime - the story starts by getting you confused for a few episodes... but once it develops into the 2nd half of the series, sad sad things start to happen ^^;

no I haven't seen Grave of the Fireflies ><"

Our campus film club recently had a "Depressing Anime Night," where we watched Grave of the Fireflies, and Voices of a Distant Star. Voices really made me cry near the end.

I also need to second Fruits Basket. That show is soooo good..

The end of Fushigi Yugi was sad, and irratating. I don't know what got me more-the fact that SPOILER ALERT Miaka was seperated from Tamahome or that she found hapiness in a STUPID REINCARNATION of Tamahome./SPOILER

That really iratated me and got me all annoyed. The end was really depressing also. And that's the only really sad one I've seen.

I would think the only reason Gravi is sad is because Shuuichi goes through the whole unrequited love thing... Or Eiri's past... I loved episode 13 though!!

Fruits Basket is awesome. I loved eps 24, 25, and 26. They were so sad. ;_; Poor Kyo-chan!

I don't think any anime has made me cry but some have made me feel really sad after watching it...Like Grave of the Fireflies and Voices of a Distant Star... Fushigi yugi was I guess sad, (well the saddest moment for me was when Noriko died, oh and also when Suboshi died...) Other then that I really didn't like Miaka so I couldn't really feel bad for her or any of her Suzaku warriors...(well other then Noriko...)

The Kenshin OVAs got me a bit teary eyed.
The end of Excel Saga too, crazily enough. XD

Grave of the Fireflies...I didn't find that sad, actually. I did think it was a very good movie, though.

Clannad and Kanon both killed me, hahah!
Makato's arc was probably the saddest thing I've seen in my entire life. I CRIED SO HARD. XD
The part where he was reading to her in bed, "this is a good story, right?" was soul-crushingly sad.
The end of the arc in the field was even sadder! My soul was crushed like eight times over, ground into a fine powder, and remade into something better, that holds more empathy and love than it ever could have before, lulz.
Clannad was more sad overall, but the Makato arc was ridiculous.

Indeed. I feel completely comfortable calling the people over at Key a bunch of geniuses. The people at Kyoto Animation, too, for bringing their scenarios to life so well. =)
