I was thinking about transcribing the new Halo 3 song you can hear in the menu, just the part where the orchestra and the piano plays for 2 mins, i was wondering if i do transcribe it, will anyone be interested? Otherwise i wont bother. Its a beautiful and slow piece, and because of my lack of experience of the bass clefts (i play the violin) It will be a while until I actually finish ;( So this is kinda of, "anyone want me to do it?" thread xD...I only need like 2 replies of "yes" and I'll start on it, because I'm bored with no requests.

I definitely want you to do it! I just played through 75% of the campaign and the theme always gives me a sense of heroism. I play the piano though.

Ok, ill just make it 2 violins, 1 cello and 1 piano arrangement. This is because the original is a 60 piece orchestra with some instruments I don't think I ever heard of in my life. This is a easy song, and its very dramatic, and piano only has a few notes xD. But as i said, its a great song, simple but smart. So yeah dont worry, its as boring for us violinist as for you pianists ^^ but the end result is great, just play along with the MIDI file for the missing piano/strings. Ill start on it then ;(....estimated time of finish - 3 days.

I found out the OST comes out in November, i might purchase it and update it after i make this short version from the main menu.

Its not the "halo" theme, its one of the songs played in the menu.
It DID not turn out the way i wanted, and i felt that i rushed it has potential to be 100% times better if i spent more time x] Anyhow it was a uber difficult song, as i had no experience of bass cleft...looks easy but was pain and torture for a non bass cleft music player. To be honest its a poor transcription, so ill fix it along the way during my other transcription project. Timing was an issue for me, because i dont think there is any, and syncing in Piano + violin and cello was uber difficult ><". Another issue was its a 60 piece orchestra song, and here only 4 instruments, where violin 1 and 2 both play same notes, only need 2 because 1 violin is too soft. Cello plays even more boring notes than Canon in D, and piano....well extra treat in the end xD. (that also sounds like crap, sorry XD)
Anyway, presenting the arrangement...

Seriously the piano part needs to be revised... is there any piano transcribers out there at all can spend 5 min to figure out what the simple notes are x] cuz my one doesnt sound right, and i definitely used too much un needed sharps.

and guys who thinks the MIDI sucks...its the MIDI fault that it cannot read techniques or expressions. It sounds much better when played.

The Violin 2 was basically the same as 1 so i changed it to a viola, hence u can have as many viola or violin as you want.

That would be great. I saw a special about the new theme song on youtube. its written in E dorian mode, which should be helpful when you are working on it. It would be a great peice to add to the ichigo's archives. :lol:

listend to the orignal song from the Xbox then your version..

the theme is the same... but yet the whole song is not :\

its like none of the intruments are the same and play along together, and thats just THAT thing that makes the song on the Xbox so L33T :P

If your referring to the MIDI.....lol your not that musically learned then? because from what I know, MIDI's are not the real deal to real people playing. You need to play it to know if the song is correct, not just listen to the MIDI. MIDI is just a guide of timing and how to play it.
Plus its an arrangement, the real thing is a 60 piece orchestra and here the MIDI is computerized version of instruments, with only 4 piece.....5..

Sorry, I'm a violin transcriber, the piano part took me ages itself...even though its a simple piece x]. Maybe a piano transcriber may come along and transcribe it. I allow you to use my sheets as guidance x]...
