Need some expression man, add some color, a background would be even better, pazazz the car a bit. It could use some life. Maybe that's what's the feeling in your gut?

Actually, I think it has a fine amount of life already instilled in it. The main problem with it is that his face is skewed to our right, or his left. It's like you grabbed his face, and pulled it sideways, but the rest of the skull stayed put. It's barely noticeable, but it's there. Another problem is his left ear. We shouldn't be able to see so much of it from this angle. It's sticking out way too forwardly as it is right now.

It's actually a pretty good picture though; I'm sure she'll like it. :)

Ah, also:
Giving art to girls does not get one any...luck. Believe me, I've tried. Hahahah. ;)

Edit:
Also, also:
Darken that picture up. Smudgy mess =/= advanced shading technique. Vary your line weights to make them more interesting. Establish a solid light source, and then shade appropriately. Your line work is good right now, but the picture is very smudgy, and your light source is very ambiguous.

 :kfreaked: :w00t: This. Is. Awesome. Although, he's a little more wrinkly at the corners of his eyes. 'Crow's feet', I believe they're called. And his neck should be a little vein-y-er, if you know what I mean... Otherwise, this is excellent work :D
