Hi I'm with the Kamehameha schools Marching band and we were lucky enough to be one of the band to march in this amazing parade. Well I'm a junior in high school, been playing the clarinet for 6 years, the alto for 2 and just started the trumpet today....Well I was wondering if anyone here has been in this parade. Maybe you could tell me how good/bad it is, what the experience is like. I'm just curious. :sweat:

My band marched in this parade in 2005. It is a long long long long parade of death, especially when you play without a cadence between songs. My advice, march, march, march, march and do a lot of working out. Even I, the swimmer, wanted to stop playing. But when march past the cameras, it's amazing. Oh and that's another thing. Practice the one and only turn in the parade a bazillion times. They also have the cameras on this turn, so if your flank is not lined up, you will be noticed, and laughed at.
