This isn't so much a whole composition as it is just a quick map of something that could be. So is it worth fleshing out? I'll probably post other ditties as they come to me, just got my ES4 so I'm stoked about piano again :)

Because of the left hand part, the melody seems 'trapped' inside the strict beat and monotonous accompaniment. Simply put; your melody and accompaniment don't go well together.

It's been a while. Today I tried something completely different for me, doing something that didn't just involve piano.

Those string sections could actually work, but with other instrumentation, accompaniment, chord progression, dynamics, sound fonts, rhythm and presentation.

Here's another song that I call Mirage. I hope it reminds you of the desert, because it takes me right there

Mirage - Interesting song. The overall theme really worked out to remind me of a desert, however I think the execution was a little weak. The kick drum in the beginning really kind of ruined it in the beginning. Its just that the kick drum in my mind sounds more rock band than Egypt. There are some nice complex patterns in the drum parts, however it got annoying listening to the same beat after a while, and made the melody difficult to hear.

The one thing this piece needs is an accompaniment line. The cello is a nice start, however it feels weird when it just drops out. You could also change the melody into like a string orchestra, just so its not all flute gets the melody.

I really like the unique melody, which has so much potential. Keep up the great work. Hopefully I can listen to the others soon.

Here's a short new one. It's titled Space Lobby because I envision it as a sort of low key background music that would play in the lobby of some sci fi game. The fade out at the end doesn't necessarily need to be where it's at, normally the music would just loop right there. Comments are appreciated.

Oh yeah, there's a slight bit of static in there that shouldn't be, my computer is pretty darn old and whenever I try to use the mixer in FL Studio everything starts getting choppy. It doesn't ruin it though ^_^.

Yeah, reminds me of Star Ocean music.

Yeah, reminds me of Star Ocean music.

Phew:heh:. Thanks for the input.

Here's a new title I've been working on. It's incomplete and I'm kind of at an impasse right now, I know how I want it to sound but I can't for the life of me get it to sound that way @_@
