DRIVES ME CRAZY, i get so annoyed not being able to do it. This is from an orthopedic surgeon.

This will boggle your mind and you will keep trying over and
over again to see if You can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It's
preprogrammed in your brain!

1. WITHOUT anyone watching you (they'll think you're GOOFY) and while Sitting where you are at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot Off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand!

Your foot will change direction.

mhmm.. Exactly.
And there's nothing you can do about it!

Now pass this on so ALL of your friends can look like idiots

Someone else posted this sometime last year I think... and I'm sure it varies from person to person. I had no problem with writing the air-six while doing the clockwise foot rotation, and I'm sure others won't either.

Besides, *moves to appropriate forum*.

That is not a problem, maybe trying to write 2 different sentences at the same time with both of your hands while doing 2 different rhythms with your feet?

God damnit! D':
Like Noir said though, I'm sure it varies from person to person. I'd be willing to bet that doing things like piano or drums that train your different limbs to work separately would also help with doing this.

I couldn't do it the first time, but the second time I somehow managed.

Personaly it varies for me, the key diferece being where my foot is once I start the 6 , if its "past 3 and before 6" (or between 270 and 360 degrees on the unit circle, for you math likers) I can do it no problem, otherwise it spins counterclockwise.

tear I tried and tried but failed, then I think I got it once but didnt count it b/c my foot wasnt really going in a circle more like the up and down motion u get when you move you foot to fast.
Im not that hopeless thought I can pat my head and rub my stomach

I can't even move my foot in a circular motion without smacking it on my desk! stoopid me. This won't work at all if you draw your sixes backward like me.

Depends how you draw a 6
Starting at the middle allows you to draw clockwise =3

Tried it; can't get it to work. ._.; But for some reason, it gets easier after the first time.

because you're working harder on controlling it, lol. And I can do it, whichever way I draw my sixes. But my problem is that my hands reflect each other wheniver i'm trying to do something - which is why i'm really, really bad at keyboard XD

Oh, I remember doing this a few years ago. The first time you will switch, because you don't know what's doing to happen. However, the second time you should be able to keep it going as you started.

It's fun!

I did it after visualising a circle on the ground, so ignoring the right hand.

XD this is just like making one arm make a circle going forward and the other arm making a backwards circle
