Would any be interested in doing the score to Devil's Trill from Yami no Matsuei for me?
The melody of Devil's Trill is a violin solo, but there's some background, also. Basically, it would be an orchestra solo with perhaps optional back music.
If anyone's interested please post and I'll get you the mp3... ^^

I can try ;) Is this the Devil's Trill sonata by Tartini? If so then I should be able to find a MIDI that I can convert, as opposed to doing it by ear from the MP3 :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the one. ^__^;; I'm not good with names... Devil's Trill, as the name suggests, is FULL of trills and stuff.
If you can't find the midi, I have the mp3. I'd prefer the mp3 because it's better quality, but it doesn't really matter to me. Whichever suits you. XD
*glomps* THANK YOU SO MUCH! *.*

Heehee, mp3 is fine but if I can get hold of a MIDI (which I have - except file upload seems to have disappeared...) then I can read the sheet music straight off it :) Do you want it with all the double-stopping or just a single line of music?

if it's the one by Tartini, it's a fairly well-known classical piece, so the actual sheet music may be floating around on the Net already.
Kyuu: 'orchestra solo'-- contradiction, ne? :D

Josh has a good point - the sheet music isn't that pricey but I can still do a score if you wish :)

I assume you mean this (http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/MIDI/Tartini/Devil/01Larghetto.mid) song? (Or perhaps the 2nd (http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/MIDI/Tartini/Devil/02Allegro.mid) or 3rd (http://www.virtualsheetmusic.com/MIDI/Tartini/Devil/03Grave-Allegro_assai.mid) movements...)
Please contact me if you still need the sheet music for it.

It might be the 3rd movement, but none of them really sounds like the one I have... >.>
Don't worry though. ^__^ I'm rotating my mp3 rotation soon and I got a request for Devil's Trill so I'll give you guys the mp3 if anyone's interested.
*laughs* I know I contradicted myself. I meant that the piece was for an orchestral instrument. While the piece is supposed to have solo, there will also be tutti parts. Does that make more sense? ^^;;
As for double-stopping or single... erm... which ever is best for you. ^^;; If you do double-stops, remember to keep in mind that it's a violin and I could probably shift positions to do most of them (which would be annoying), but not ALL can be done... make sure it actually makes sense. XD

I'm a violin player too, hence I asked ;) I'm not a high grade so I'm not sure which double stops are possible but I'll stick the whole lot in and you can cross out the ones you don't like ;)

Devil's Trill, to the confused, is NOT an anime song original. It's a classical piece. To those looking for it, I don't have the original, but I do have the one played by Itzhak Perlman. He's a famous violinist and plays the song wonderfully. So, instead of listening to a midi version, you can here a live concert version with piano accompaniment. Just look below. It's off filefactory. As for sheet music.... well, that's at my school. But I think you can still find it floating around the net. ...however, I don't think you can get them without buying it. Sorry. That's all I know.

The Devil's Trill is a piece made by Tartini, and the part heard in the anime is only a small section of the actual song. The song featured in the anime is actually a rendetion of the original, by Vanessa Mae. She just plays the same section over and over again. The full song is quite beautiful, and it makes me sad that nobody really recognizes it. It's a very high level song, but I do have the sheets for the original version if anybody still wants it.
