I was wondering if we had a thread for this game. It's become popular again, dealing in millions of real world dollars a day. It's not just this game, but the idea that we should convert things into data and instead deal through them. It's pretty close to .hack =3 including the name. The game really does give you a second life... yay cliche ending.

many people actually make thousands of dollars designing scripts for like, people's clothes, furniture and also make money with like real estate strangely enough. It's fun if you're into stuff like that, and since its a lot like our life... many business create like simulated versions and stuff to test out how it would work in the real world

Second life scares me. How can a crappy emulation of a shit version of earth be so popular?.. Rather, some businesses think its where they can have more of their commercial shit going on because businesses, like CEO's, have no brain as a whole.

Seriously if you had the money to sitck in your ad and shit in second life, just put another ad in another magazine or something.

Yeah, on "Rise of the Video Game" they were talking about Second Life, and apparently people are actually buying clothes, cars, etc. from real buisness for their Second Life characters; some woman has become a million-aire, and a guy owns a Dance Club inside the game.

It's disgusting, and it's really f****d up, in my opinion.

Did anybody see that episode of The Office where they showcase Dwight on Second Life? His character/avatar had its own 'second life' set up. Yes, that's how far the game can go, apparently.

I used to play second life, but then it turn into a corporate marketing fest and it just went downhill.
