First, I'm not sure if this is the best place to post it, but if it isn't please let me know and/or move/lock/delete the thread.
That said, this is actually a 2part request. The first is fairly straight forward, the second not so much.
So the first, I've been looking all around for FFXI Music for the Flute, and have found a ton of ones for like Pianos and groups which include a flute... but I'm looking for this to play solo right now so a group isn't really an option. Also, there are a few which just don't seem to have even a score (that I can find, and I've been searching for awhile) to them. I'm also not really skilled enough to transcribe the ones I have found into something that will work for Flute, hence I come to you all in the hopes of finding someone who can help me.
Know, I'm not asking for EVERY song, since I imagine some just can't be played on flute alone, but there are a couple that I'm really hoping for, although I'll take anything really. I'm sure I can find (or make) a midi file if you want/need of the songs. So, here is the list, in no real order
San d'Oria Theme
Windurst Theme
Chocobo Theme (think it is called Dash De Chocobo)
Sanctuary of Zitah Theme
"Recollections" (I know there is actually a flute only version in the game which would be nice to have)
There is also something called "First Ode: Nocturne of the Gods" which is very close to "Recollections" but mainly a piano version (though not just piano) which if transcribed to flute would also work well.
So there is the straightforward request... Now, the less straightforward (and possibly impossible for people here) request.
As anyone who plays/played FFXI will tell you, there is a class called Bard who specializes in playing music, and funnily enough one of their wind instruments is actually a flute. So, if anyone had any of the Bard songs transcribed, specifically the flute versions, somewhere I'd be most grateful. In general these are really more just short little ditties then full blown songs, with the longest being like 10seconds or so, but even so there are a few that I'm particularly interested in (just like above). So, they are:
Mage's Ballad I&2 (I THINK they are the same but not sure)
Foe/Horde Lullaby
Army's Paeon
Foe Requiem
Chocobo Mazurka
In a sense, I think that this second request is probably a bit easier because of the song lengths and that they are specifically made for playing on the flute. I even have seen/heard someone running around conventions playing some of them. On the flip side though, these likely don't have any official sheet music from Square floating around, and likely only exist in the game .dat files (which I don't know how to hack into to get things out of, and even then I don't know what format they would be) so unless someone is playing the game, or knows how to "hack" into the files so the files can be pulled out, this could be really hard.
