Well, it was a hard decision, but I finally came up with my 2 favorite bands ever. ^.^

The Killers (Mostly only because of their first album, I don't like most of their other stuff. Although there were one or two good songs on their second and third albums, not many of them were anything that I liked.)

Guns n' Roses (Again, mostly because of their first album, but who could argue with timeless classics like "Sweet Child o' Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle?")

Queen, Metallica, The Beatles.

My favourite "band" ever is Bjork, who's really more of a solo artist... does that count?

As for band, I would probably say Queen or Jamiroquai... both have completely different, but equally fantastic songs. =D

I was thinking of starting a post like this one.. Anyways... Thats a hard one. I usualy separate my favorite singer/bands by Genre. Top 5 would be: Nightwish, Evanescence, Bruce Hornsby, Enya, and Jewel. I also like Country, Lots of Classical, and some 60's and 80's bands music. I tend to fall for the bands with Female singer. 70% of my favorite groups and bands have a Woman as a lead singer.

I like The Beatles and Muse. And Ok Go is good too I guess.

Muse, Queen, Eskimo Joe are mine. All are equally awesome - though I can't compare Queen for live performances, though I've seen the other two. EJ is an Australian band that hasn't quite broken overseas yet as far as I know, so no-one but the Aussies will probably have heard of them.

slipknot is my obsession. although i haven't been able to see them live...T_T

I have quite a bit, although--Pearl Jam, The Who and Iron Maiden would be my top three favourite "bands."

Nightwish, Relient K and Goo Goo Dolls would be my top 3. :) (Does Jim Brickman count? If so, he's a fave too!)

I also like Paramore, Michelle Branch, Michael Bublé, Jason Mraz, the Beach Boys, Martina McBride, MercyMe, LeAnn Rimes, Kelly Clarkson, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Christina Aguilera, Taylor Swift, A*Teens, All-4-One, Boyz II Men, etc. Yup. ^.^

But Armor For Sleep, Lostprophets, Incubus, Keane, Coldplay, Papa Roach, The Killers, Seether, Saosin and Maritime are also great.

Angra, Gorod, Dream Theatre, Children of Bodom... I guess for now. They aren't in any order, I just love 'em all.

You can youtube "gorod blackout" take the first or so vid for epic technical metal. Angra is pretty popular here and there, there's a couple youtubes of them. I suggest pretty much anything from their latest album. DT and CoB are self-explanatory I guess.

Popular? I've never heard of them.
