Hmm maybe the title is a bit confusing but what I mean is that you take a piano sheet music or violin sheet music (both which are in the same type of pitch Ie if you played an A on the piano it would sound exactly the same as if you played it on the violin) and you re wrote it in the instrument you wanted to play in except all the notes would be in that instrument's pitch.

It's not hard at all if you plug the sheet music in a notation program that allows for key changes and then change the concert pitch to the pitch of the instrument. Depending on the sheet music, it might take a while to plug it in. Hope this helps! :)

Oh no I wasn't asking how to do it I was wondering if whether or not you guys think it was hard or not. Because I notice how people request music for different types of instruments and I was wondering if any of them have ever considered doing this and whether or not to them if it was easy.

Oh. Haha.

I think it's fairly easy, even with pencil/paper; the "challenge" is to get the piece in a key that's fairly playable on the instrument and that sounds good at the same time.

Plus, some people enjoy and are better at transposing than others - for example, I can do it, but it takes absolutely forever and I just don't have the patience to do it. Of course, if I want to play a piano piece on my clarinet, I don't have much choice though, lol.
