So what are you composing? What is the current music work you are doing or planning to do? (Just music compositions and arranges not performs or transcriptions).

I'm working on three pieces right now.

"Advokaten" a piece for piano and voice.
"Nonameyet" - For the composition competition
"Nonameyet2" - A short blues piece for a small ensemble of instruments.

For me I got free this week of somethings so I will can dedicate time to the competition of this forum. :D Apart of that I want to touch the sketches I did for another competition which ended to be something I didn't want but they are good for make other pieces, I got like 15mins of music so I won't send it to the trash! I will use them.

I'm not really composing at the moment, but I have been thinking about ways to fix up my old pieces. I also have a tentative outline of the tracks on my next CD, so I do have an idea of what each piece should be like. I just need to actually sit down and write them out.

I've been improvising and experimenting with A LOT of Rachmaninoff-esque progressions and modulations; I've been encouaged to write a couple piano pieces, so I guess you cand say, "I'm working on a couple of piano pieces!"

i'm working on the competition piece and reworking my older compositions at the moment.

i am studying 'Le technique de mon langage musicale' (sp?) of Messiaen at the moment; seeing what i can incorporate into my own writing.

I find it interesting, it say young composers but there are lots of not so young composers.

I'm trying to finish a transcription of a song from FFX-2.

And then I have to work on two compositions.
One for Voice and Piano.
And another for a Solo English Horn.

The transcription is making me want to jump out the window. @_@

I'm working on a concert band piece, which started out with as a basic piano solo using simple chord progressions.

I'll also be working on a jazz band piece, as soon as finish the outline of it.

And a couple sax section soli arrangements. Mostly for Marching Band.

That's it. I may show some stuff, whenever I stop being so afraid of how much skill I don't have.

I find it interesting, it say young composers but there are lots of not so young composers.

Not to mention ignorant, egotistical amateurs. :)

Some of the stuff on that site is really good, but some of the people there definitely need to get over themselves.

Working on the piece for the contest... Its beginning to look like a close call. I hope I can make it. :/

And another beautiful piece that I've been working on for about 6 months now... It's hard to find time these days, And the lack of inspiration isnt any help either.

Wow, all of you are great, great inspirations to help me finally get back into composing my own songs. Right now I am changing the main Final Fantasy theme from a piano solo to a concert band piece, so far it sounds pretty good, I might have to see if I can post it on Ichigo's

full band, and flute, clarinet, and piano ensembles

I am not composing anything at the moment due the many works I need to get done this week. But things I am holding are:

-The competition of this forum, (for November).
-Children Music theme (Another competition), (for November).
-Commission of a band(epic power metal), (I have many months for this).
-To work old music of mines and to complete them (This can wait =p).

- A piece for the school band (when I finally get some inspiration... or maybe I need to start improvising again on my clarinet, which I haven't done for a while).
