how can I convert a mus. file to a MIDI?

Easiest way I know is to open the .mus with Finale Notepad and save it as a midi.

File > Save as > (set name for piece, and choose .MID instead of .MUS on the box below the name input)

Can't be done with Finale Notapad, get the real program. (Don't PM me about it, it's illegal to download them, and against Ichigo policy)
