some compositions of mine :)

The first is a jazzy thing I did for music class (for saxophone and piano, but the melody here is as an electric guitar midi sound as the sax sound is just terrible on my sound card, and for some reason it refuses to turn my very end chord into midi, but as you can probably guess it ends in a perfect cadence XD), second is something I did as a present, (for piano) :)

c+c appreciated

"Not so saxequential" was like liquid white chocolate to me. I loved it, and I liked how you incorporated some blues into it aswell. I think it's a shame you didn't use that sax instead of the electric piano. I tried to mimic it in the MP3 attached to this post. If there's anything wrong with it, tell me about it and I'll try to change it or remove it completely =P I had to transpose it to a certain extent and mess around a bit with the sax part, since I couldn't use an alto sax... sorry about that. See it as a compensation for me being such a bitch to you in the past.

"I Thought of You" certainly has potential, but I felt that the sole piano doesn't quite cut it here. It's a good progression you have going there, perhaps you should consider using an ensemble of instruments instead.

Thank you for the comment :)
my music teacher's just left and exams are coming up ( oh dear! ) so it's really helpful to get ideas.
=D Thank you very much for the MP3 ( just saved it to my computer), it's great to be able to hear it with a sax sound! It's made me smile =)
I like the changes, they've made me hear it in a new way

Haha... It's all good now :heh:

Thanks, I'll give it a go =) working on a vocal piece with a friend of mine first though ^_^

Indeed, some fine jazz there for the first piece. The second piece was a little disappointing, however. The melody felt like a sequence of notes than an actual melody. It felt as if you had some sort of harmony progressions going and then just randomly added a melody on top.

thanks for the comment sir_dotdotdot =)

Ok, taking both your comments into consideration I tired to do this to the piece (now for string ensemble + harp and flute)

Tried to embelish on the melody a bit, but stuck to the same progressions :)

oh dear, I hope this sounds better
