Mario kart Double Dash. If you liked the other ones, then you'll definitely like this one. So what are your views on it? Got any favourite character combinations, karts, or courses?

Pretty good game, great graphics, love the drifting! Co-op is hilarious when you're playing with the right group of friends *honks the horn and does a dance* Unfortunately I suck at driving, hehe. Anyways, I like using medium-sized cars, with Mario/Luigi.

This game is pretty good but it came out around the time that Kirby's Air Ride came out, so I didn't give this game much attention. I thought that what I played of it was fun, and I especially liked the new "partner" system. However, I thought 2p mode was rather boring, though.

I especially like Baby Mario with either Koopa Kid or Toad. (I think you can be Toad still, right? :P)

Fun, but I still don't think it can really compare to Super Mario Kart. It's definitely better than Mario Kart 64 but it's next to impossible to live up tot he classic original.

Edit: It's going to be interesting playing wireless LAN on the DS. I hope they include the partner ability in the DS version so there can be a sixteen player race on the DS version.

I like using Toad/Toadette and Bowser Jr. on the Toad or Toadette kart. Gotta love those Golden Mushrooms, and Bowser Shells wreak havoc for everyone behind me. :D

Bombs are pretty hard to use. Usually end up blowing myself up along with everyone else. :heh:

How could I forget the Chain Chomp? Lead me to victory, my doggy!

I hate Mario Kart with extreme pregidous! Okay this why I hate it... Your in first place. Your like "yeah look at me now!" Then like a bat outta hell comes a freakishly large green shell. BOOM!! You have now gone from first place to dead last!

Yes, damn them for making a game that's full of frantic fun and making it accessible for everyone.

Edit: Seriously, this is what makes the game fun. Without all the crazy items and obstacles it would just be another stick-in-the-mud racer with Nintendo characters.

I use Toad and Diddy Kong in the Toad Cart. My two favourite Nintendo characters in one game? Excellent!

Double Dash can be very frustrating though. I think MoetheChicken put his finger on the reason perfectly. But it does, make it fun, and makes the experience last longer.

Agreed. I came in first all the time from the moment I started playing. I never even saw a Gamecube before that, let alone touch the controller or play any games.

I used Peach and Daisy ~

It's challenging if you play on difficult. Especially the much larger courses like Wario Stadium.

I don't see how that could be harder, after one round you'll know the track and the hard part will be gone.

The hard part would be the unpredictability of the other contestants. Knowing the course of the back of your hand doesn't necesserily mean instant win.

On 150cc, the other characters are cunning and will most definetly gang up on you to get you into last place.

Hmm, sounds evil  but I don't have an Gamecube to try it anyway :(

When I had the 64 version, I beat the entire game, and then I went back for more, practising my drift until I got all the ghosts for time trials. The ghosts are ridiciously fast, but eventually I got good enough to surpass them.

Double Dash is the same deal. After you beat everything in the game, you'll discover that the ghosts are way tougher then the 150cc opponents. They're travelling on pre-programmed line that is very good. They don't have any items though, and that's where you gain your advantage.

The 64 mario kart was really easy. But that doesn't mean it was bad. I used to sit around and play that game for hours.

Mario Kart DD is a great game. I usually use light karts with high acceleration like the baby cariage(?) one.
