We're going to stick to the themed CMA for now. The main reason is that there is a plethora of compositions out there and it's difficult to compare one to the other when they are equally good by each of their own standards. As Angelic said, it's like comparing an apple to a pear.

This month's theme will be a "Piano Solo" theme. This may come from any era or period of music; it doesn't matter. What matters is that the composition must be from 2:00 - 5:30 minutes long. No more, no less. The reason for the time restriction is for simplicity and the listener's sake. The piece must be for a single person.

Please submit in this format:

The submission deadline is on September 25th. Please keep all conversations out of this thread. This thread is for submissions and questions/annoucements only. I will delete all other posts.

Good luck!

Are e-pianos allowed?

It's the same thing. ^_^ So yes.

Oh, and to clarify. The composition must be playable by a single person (meaning no multiple instruments... just left hand and right hand for piano...). :D

Hey, wasn't it for a person last month? I have a composition, but its not FOR anybody, can we please take the particular rule out?

The song doesn't have to be FOR someone. It has to be a piano solo piece that is playable by a single person. I hope that works. ^.^

Anymore questions, PM me, I'll be deleting all other posts.

(Thanks for the help guys.)

I've deleted all the other posts. But simply said, there will be no further extensions on CMA. It's called "Composition of the Month" because you have about month to create a composition, or to showcase something that you've already made. This thread will be closed on Sunday morning at 3 AM (Hawaii Time GMT - 10:00) to give you as much time as possible.

To give you guys a head start on next month's contest, it will be a Choir Theme using a Four-part harmony (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass). This is a chance to think about what you might want to do. Further details will be explained when the tread is opened sometime next week.

Again, please keep conversations out of this thread, as they will be deleted. Some posts are remained for clarification purposes (look at previous posts). But if you have any other questions, please read the rules in the first post, then PM me.

Good luck everyone! Have a nice day! ^.^

(P.S. I appreciate everyone's cooperation, you guys have been great!)

-_-

EDIT: Changed song. Sorry, but that one just stunk too badly, so I'll simply use an old piano themed song. This is the last time I will use my old songs.
