So, I decided to help out a game design major who's stuck with a nearly-completed project, but in lieu of a soundtrack. I took up the challenge of composing 7 pieces. In 5 days. Never mind the fact that I've never really composed anything. Writing down a few melodies and harmonics don't quite count in my book.
I really wanted a SNES feel to it; nothing too advanced (despite remixing the published version with Reason to give it a better feel). It was a really fun project and I hope I can compose more game music in the future. Again, this is my first try at composing, so any critique is encouraged.
Track list:
1. Title Theme
2. Windy Peaks
3. Woodlands
4. Downtown Barricade
5. Frostbite
6. Illusion
7. Ending / Credits

My deepest thanks to Claude Debussy who helped me compose Frostbite. I'm really not a fan of his work, but his piece "The Snow is Dancing" (No. 4 from Children's Corner) helped set the desolate and completely surreal feel of it.
Comments, feedback, anything?
