i just read about this anime and i want to buy it cause i think its awesome (the creater himself deserves a lot of respect since he created it all alone)

did anyone see it and is it really good? might as well discuss his other works that i wanna see: "the land promised in our early days" "she and her cat" for those who dont know all these animes were created completely by one person (story, sound, everything) only later he allowed some actors to 'sound' his characters

so did anyone see these?

I only saw the new version of Hoshi no Koe, and there was a lot of digital GFX in that one.

I saw Voices of a Distant Star. I was very much impressed that the director was able to do most of it all by himself. If you want something to be done right, sometimes you've gotta do it by yourself, right?

But yeah, the emotion behind the separation of two lovers . . . quite sad.

I've seen Hoshi no Koe (Voices of a Distant Star) and She and Her Cat. Both were very nice ^^

Although they're both short, they're. just. so. beautiful. ^_^
highly recommend these.. especially Hoshi no Koe

I heard it's on the Hoshi no Koe DVD.. It's only like five minutes long or so.

With GFX I meant Computer Graphics btw.

Theres actually 3 versions of She and Her Cat on the voices of a distant star dvd all of varying lengths, the english dub of voices is an odd one though, not only lacking the emotion but changing the fell a bit as well, nice touch that the dir cut of it features the maker & his girlfriend doing the vocals though. Short but good, Got mine effectively free with a chobits dvd & the escaflowne film a bit back due to some ebay luck, after watching I'd happily have payed money for it

Wow, people actualy like these movies here!

*revive*

Well, Voices of a Distant Star is actualy the first anime ive ever bought. Made me cry alot. Ive lent it to alot of people and they all said it wasnt good (I think due to the fact it wasnt long)

But it was so sad!
