View Full Version : I still don't understand Eternal Harvest...

I'm stuck on the fourth page, where it goes into the sixteenth notes mixed with the eighth notes. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with this, but the rhythm for the song is confusing me quite a bit. It's 12/8 but I count it as 4/4 and the eighth notes as triplets, because counting it like 12/8 with a song like Eternal Harvest is beyond me. So back to my question; when I get to this part I have no idea how the rhythm goes, I mean do I just play it fast or what? Can anybody give me any tips? Thanks. :)

In 12/8 time the eighth notes are the beat. When you count, not matter how they are beamed, just count "1 2 3, 2 2 3, 3 2 3, 4 2 3" or "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12." The sixteenth notes are to be counted like eighth notes in 4/4 time. No matter what the sixteenth note is twice as fast as the eighth note.
Are you using the Ichigo's version? If so maybe if you gave us measure numbers so we can see exactly what you're talking about.
