shouNEN. shounen. shounin would mean something close to "minor".

and i love all my manga.

even tho shonen is action-like....shojo can be too~ ^_^ just like inuyasha~ it has a more developed fantasy type like story developed~ more interesting.

I like both, but seeing as I'm female I have a personal preference for shoujo. Yay, romance!

i pretty much like all the manga that i've read ^_^
but i kinda prefer shoujo more (i dont really like too much violence) plus, ppl say wat i draw even looks more like shoujo :heh:

haha, yea, I agree, they draw shoujo manga/anime really beautifully. I guess I go for the girly side of anime, but i don't mind shounen either...

Shoujo anime/manga = Anime/manga for girls/targeted at girls
Shounen anime/manga = Anime/manga for boys/targeted at boys

hmmm never read any of them but im guessin id go with shoujo...........it just suits my feelings

im up for romantic stuff, love themes and others that follow a characters development.

I prefer shoujo because it's usually more interesting, plus I like the romantic stuff they have in them :)

Shonen. Even though I'm a girl. I love all that actiony stuff. ^_^

I like both: Shounen for all the crazy stuff (like GTO ^^), and Shoujo for the emotional stuff that rips my heart apart :')

i likes both, but i like shoujo better cause it usually involves more comedy/romance than shonen. Shonen is not bad though, caus it has violence/action. BUT! if it has all violence or all romance, its not that good.

Shoujo. Action may be fun at times but nothing hits quite as much as a powerful drama.

both. shojo has good emo poinmts and shonen is just so anctioney. but like some mangas like ayashi no ceres it's sorta like both. the goreish sceanes and the emotional stuff that aya has to go through.

If you had asked me this ten-or-so years ago (after explaining what the terms meant, of course :heh:), I probably would have said "Shonen" without hesitation. But while I still like a good bit of action (but not gory, gratuitous violence) in my books, movies, etc.; I guess I've mellowed a bit because I rather like the Shoujo side of "InuYasha" and seeing how his relationship with Kagome weathers it's various ups and downs. As for straight Shoujo? (Love Hina?) I'd have to read it first to see how much it would appeal to me...

love hina isn't shoujo.

Shoujo. It's funny, cause I actually know alot of guys who loke Shoujo, but they don't like to tell anyone. They're afraid people will think they're girly or somethin. I'm a lil embarassed myself, and I'm a girl..haha. Romance novels---those I hate. Shoujo/Romanca Mangas..Looooooooove. Shoujo fans shoujo check out Shoujomagic.org. I read tons of unlicensed manga from there. Currently, I'm obsessed with Love Monster, Zettai Kareshi, Parfait Tic, and It's Love. Oh~ and they just put out creepy horror mangas for holloween like manga versions of some Poe stuff. "The Black Cat" was freaky. *shivers*

same here. :D but being serious with the shojou... -_- it always tears my heart apart like Fushigi Yuugi... :cry: i'm not finished with it but it's really dramatic near the end...with shounen... :D hot guys~! like sasuke uchiha from naruto~! shaman king is pretty cool too. very kawaii....
