It takes a lot of time and practise to learn how to improvise. No-one can really teach it to you.

Before you improvise, listen to other music. It really helps. You also must learn music theory so you don't end up screwing yourself over and over again.

The thing that helps me the most on improvisation is knowing how every note will sound before you even play it. That way you don't mess up (at least intentionally :p) the melody / harmony. There are more stuff to it, mainly some (a lot) music theory behind it, and as it was said it's really hard to teach or tell someone "how to" imprivise.

Sorry if i couldn't be of more help,
Regards,
Seph.
