What is the name of your favourite band and what are your thoughts on them? In this thread, not only must you name your favourite band, but you must make a comment on one of their albums.

Band:

My favourite band are Muse. I think they are really good and the leader singer (Matt) has a really good sounding voice. I like their rock/indy style of music and the variety of moods they have in their songs. My personal favourite is Plug in Baby as it has a really great guitar intro which continues on through the whole song along with a really catchy drum beat.




Album:

Absolution has to be Muse's 3rd best album. Although it's the most modern and I like the songs on it more, my two favourite songs are on the other two albums (Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry). Some of Absolution's most impressive songs are Hysteria, Time is Running Out, Thoughts of a Dying Athiest and Endlessly. I hope that Muse continue to release albums and singles that match their current standards.

<span style='color:violet'>hMmM favorite band? right now i would have to say moi dix mois. mana writes such beautiful music and it is different from anything i have ever heard before. i really admired mana's work in malice mizer and i love how he has a way of blending the organ,guitar,violin, and harpsichords together...its just amazing

seeing as they are a new band they only have one album "dix infernal" and its a really great album...there isnt a song on there that i dont like. i think it sounds kinda like mana had intended malice mizer to sound but with moi dix mois the members are more his style and i think they will be very successful (or at least i hope) </span>

It would be the London Symphony Orchastra. Not really a band, yet it is.

Yeah I suppose an orchestra is a band, not exactly a very rocky or punk one, but a band.

I say the Boston Pops Orchestera is more of a band than the London Symphony Orchestra.

Yes but it can vary, it dosn't have to be a group of people, it can be only two, eg. The White Stripes. Anyway, nice choice there Sondagger! I love Greenday and Radiohead. Do you like Muse?

Muse is great. My favourite band is from Sweden, they&#39;re called Opeth.. a death metal/prog band. My other favourites include Dream Theater, Symphony X, Radiohead, Luna Sea and The Back Horn... I&#39;m sure there are more but I haven&#39;t been listening to modern music very much lately.
