Hey guys, I'm not sure if there's a thread on this topic already but i'll start one anyway (sorry if this defies any rules)

So I need some recommendations for movies to watch. Theatre or already released; new or old, anything! Recently i've been seeing movies like Hotel Rwanda and Blood Diamond (which are great, i'd like to see anything else with that kind of genre), but i'm willing to watch anything. Just throw down your ideas!

Soylent Green is pretty good. Nice warning for the future.

If you haven't seen Silence of the Lambs yet, go watch it NOW! I realize that this is a pretty old movie, but not everyone has seen it yet. Amazing stuff, though~ Suspense! Lotion in baskets!

Oldboy is good, too. It's Korean, but oh well. Kind of a psychological thriller with thematic elements that may not be agreeable to some, but I think most people won't mind...except for the uber-conservative ones. It's not scary or anything, but basically, a guy gets locked up in a room for years, and he's finally released into the world, but at the same time, all his actions are being "controlled" by a certain someone....and I'll stop there~

I'd say Spirited Away, Howls moving castle - All the Gibli Myazaki films really. All good anime ones!

And some tim burton stuff if you like that kinda thing, i.e The nightmare before christmas! Corpse bride, Sleepy hollow, Sweeny todd etc etc
