Does anyone know any special programs that will allow me to write control messages into the middle of a midi? Specifically, I'm looking for a way to write in the 'Pan' messages (C10), which are responsible for balance stereo.

Or alternatively... does anyone know how to write the message into Sibelius so it can export into midi properly? I've tried ~C10,[number] message with value of everything between like -200 to 200, and on 0-100, the midi will shift the sounds to the right ear, while all other values are neglected altogether; according to all Internet sources, it's supposed to be 0(hard left) - 64(neutral) - 127(hard right), but all it's doing now is giving me varying shifts to the right between 0 and 100, and ignoring everything else... I've also tried using ~C42, which is responsible for finer adjustments to 'Pan', but there's no effect in the midi at all...

Bah... Am I doing something wrong here? I'm browsing through Sibelius' help forum and apparently no one else is having a similar problem...

Thanks in advance.

And if this is in the wrong section... sorry =(

Edit: Nvm, just found an amazing program that solved everything =D

What program is? I don't do panning on midis but when is for the final audio I do the panning in FL studio and there are options for the midi file. Finale have panning too but no idea if works with midi. It is problematic for me to do panning when I have just one speaker alive... -_-"

Ohh, the program I found was called MidiPlayer 7.1.6 by Michael P. Bedesem; it's about 6mb for the installation file and you can find it via google. The program is completely free, and allows you to manually adjust any pan/volume/effects in midi at any part of the song. The only problem I see is that it doesn't allow you to add Pan messages, only change the ones that already exist. Since my problem was that Sibelius was carrying over the wrong messages, that program allowed me to correct them really easily. It will however still allow you to set pan values at the beginning.

Still, it's easily the best midi manipulation program I've come across so far.
