Anyone in here in band? For example, marching bang, concert band, symphony, orchestra, etc. Or maybe a rock band or something?

I'm in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Trumpet Ensemble.

im in symphonic band and i used to be in marching band

Marching Band: Trumpet
Concert Band (Fall): Percussion
Trumpet Ensemble: Trumpet (obvious...)

I'm going to play a different instrument next semester...

played trombone....quit after a year...didnt like marching bak then...

During the fall, we have marching band. I play clarinet.

Spring semester I have concert band (clarinet) and Jazz Band (alto and tenor sax)

I love marching!!!

And band camp is muy divertido!

I'm in a rock band called 'The Phenes' and I am vocals and lead guitar.

I'm in the school orchestra and a small chamber group - I play violin in both but the school orchestra is truly awful. The entire flute section is first years who have been learning the flute for a grand total of 8 months! You can't fault the wee bairns for trying, but the overall sound is a bit of an eardrum assault! It doesn't help that half the trumpet section consists of teachers who you can't really politely inform that they don't know the difference between piano and fortissimo! :huh:

Trumpet players who don't know dynamics!?!?! Yikes!!!

omg at my old school it was like that! i played saxaphone and i sat RIGHT in front of them :angry: i couldnt even hear myself playing...or anyone else for that matter

Yeah, the trumpets at my HS know like two dynamics: Loud and HOLY FREAKIN" GOSH THAT'S LOUD!!!! AHHH!!!

I yell at them a lot. lol.

And band cmp is always fun. Well, except for the jokes about it from the non-band ppl and the heat. I live in texas and marching on an asphalt field...It gets to like over 110 degrees. It's really awful. lol. Oh well.

I play flute in my school&#39;s concert band. And I&#39;m in the school choir too.
Both groups just got back from a trip to Chicago where we performed in the Heritage Music Festival. It was sooo much fun&#33; The groups go on a trip every year, and even though this is the 3rd year I&#39;ve been in the groups, this is the first time I got to travel with them. My music director was ecstatic that I could go this time :D

Isn&#39;t it always the way? ;) Intermediate band was so much fun till the teacher left and then we had this strange frog-like woman who totally couldn&#39;t keep order and had no sense of humour. Not to mention that she knew absolutely nothing about the ranges and capabilities of our instruments - she wrote out a part for my clarinettist friend and she hadn&#39;t transposed it into Bb because she didn&#39;t know that she had to&#33;

yeah, it&#39;s a pain when that happens.
I&#39;m in Intermediate Band- Percussion (vibes, xylophone, timpini, drums, you name it, i play it)
String Orchestra (violin)
Jazz Band (Vibes)
and helping out in the Grade 8 band as a tutor and a teacher or student (literally) teacher to the new vibe players.

I play in a band and a flute ensemble, I play flute in both (I also play piano and I know how to play violin and I hope to take lessons again)

I play Saxophone in Concert and Marching band... I would have made Symphonic if I had tried out.. >.>
I am also starting a *gasp* Techno-Rock band... SYNTHESIZER FOREVER&#33; ^^;;;

I play 1st Violin section in Orchestra @ my school. :)
