=_= Doesn't that kind of defy the point of any kind of art contest?
I think this shouldn't be a contest using fanart, because if you compare it to the origianl art for that series... yeah, the fanart really sucks. Original characters would be a better idea, so that you don't have the distraction of the original appearance of the popular character.

You're saying we should do original arts instead of fanart so no one can compare the art to art of the original creator.

Yes. Sorry, I suck at wording things properly.
If you think about it, it's better idea, because the originality of the character designing can also be taken into account. In my opinion, that's very important.

You are permittied to only send in 1-4 entries.
you can draw about any anime. :D

you have to edit rule 3.............what would be the point, i feel that tracers are cheaters, what am i sayin i dont feel i know. If you trace you got no skill is all i can say.

The only time i'll allow tracing and still call it a work of art if its based by paintings because its now focused on the color rather than then picture. The paint can bring out depth to the picture...........anyways im gonna do this, the only problem is my scanner is broke so im gonna have to take the pic over webcam :( but i know what pic im gonna use ands its 1 of my best because the face is just beautiful

I think there&#39;s too much of a difference between the coloured and the b&w pic, I doubt they are all by the same hand <_<

Angelic may be right. The B&W picture is more detailed and straightforward while the 2nd colored is crayon like.

but man you wanna know what takes forever........coloring in a pic using paint.......i been workin on it for like 2 weeks and it looks like ive hardly done anythin.

ive used 5 different shades jus for the hair X_X ive stopped workin on it i got other things to do -_-

it took me 4 hours to draw then i scanned it...............what i did was take sample paint from other pictures and record all of the location numbers..........then mess with the numbers abit to get diff shades.

its soo long though i have to zoom to maximum and try not to get the paint past the lines which you have to go over again in black paint X_X

i been workin on it for the equivalent of 2 weeks at 40 mins a day i couldnt be bothered with it anymore. i got college plus piano....it took to long with so much detail i mean 5 shades for the hair its madness

edit i done a bit more on it like a strand of hair near the ear and the arms.......

startin to wonder if i should try and get this finished by the end date :think:
