IS THIS THE PLACE TO PUT THIS THREAD??
anyways...

Hi, I'm just wondering what kind of keyboard I should buy... and I have a
piano so no, I do not need some crazy professional keyboard.. I'm just trying to find something that would allow me to improvise, to try different melodies and play around with the keyboard to test out different sounds. Do I need a 49, 61, 72 or 88 keyed keyboard for this? And my budget is limited.. (maybe around $300AU ) something with good sounds and at an affordable price... Please recommend some good and affordable keyboards with the price and number of keys next to it would be good.

Oh..btw... I NEED a keyboard because my neighbours complained when i was practising at night.. and I don't want to disturb them again...and I like to keep my things private..and not play around my piano for 2 hours doing nothing..that'll piss the crap out of my neighbours and my family.. And.. I like playing in the night/day but my piano wouldn't allow me to do that without having the whole street complaining..

Thank you... and if this is not the please to post this thread...please do the favour of deleting it...

I've been looking around for a piano myself, and a nice one I found was a Yamaha YPT210AD keyboard (I loved it so much I memorized its name...XD). Anyways, it has 61 keys, a nice piano sound, is MIDI compatible, and comes with a Yamaha Education Suite, which will basically teach you how to play some songs (I'm not sure if you can put MIDIs onto the Y.E.S. though...). You can control the volume, of course, and comes with 61 full sized keys. The average price is about $120 too, so it's very affordable.

Yamaha is a really nice brand, and with it, you get what you pay for. I would suggest you get a 61 or 72 keyboard though, since you'll be able to play more songs on a more affordable piano. If you do go with an 88 key though, you should also check out weighted or sensitive keyboards, or maybe even a digital piano (if you can find a super cheap one...)

Hemingway is nice too, comes with Headphones ^_^. Although the keys take a bit more force to press.
