I'm looking for:

- Happy Material

- 1000% SPARKING (still waiting)

sheet music for piano, all I've found were a midi for happy material and ensemble sheets for SPARKING and nothing more.

If it isn't already available, can anyone transcribe it? If you don't mind.

Ima try my luck here xD

Update:

- Happy Material (done by Gotank, thanks to Jeffery for his original composition of the song)

Tried searching but the closest is the midi file of happy material from josh's sheet music... Really hope if anyone could help?

... I think that guy was playing it on a MIDI keyboard... Anyway, I took the liberty of ripping the scores out of it ^^. The rhythms no good though, too lazy to rearrange. So here's the link to the file,

http://savefile.com/projects/808678531

My suggestion is that you read the score, digest the notes, and add the rhythm as you see fit.

Disclaimer: (Everyone needs one of this!) I do not own the song, or this particular arrangement. Blame the MIDI guy if you must, but I only ripped the score from the MIDI. So yea, I don't own this arrangement, so don't pummel me for it! ^^

What do you mean the rhythms no good?

Do you mean that the recorded midi is resting when it shouldn't be? (if compared to the real song)

EDIT: Heard the midi, yeah I see what you mean <_<

Hmm, I'll take a stab at fixing the rhythm in that song if someone can get permission from the original transcriber; that's the one from Josh's website right?

Yeah, it is.

I checked Josh's website, and some one who goes by "Jeffrey" made it. (Sent you a PM)

btw Gotank, aren't you the one who made the 1000% SPARKING full ensemble xD?

Gotank

K, I wrote an email to him, let's see what his response will be.

And, yes, 1000% sparking was one of my earlier transcriptions, but I doubt it's been of use to anyone yet =(
Transcriptions for something other than a solo instrument doesn't seem to draw much interest from musicians.

Edit: Got his permission, I'm about 30 seconds into the song right now, and the bass part is rather difficult to fix, since I don't know how it's supposed to sound... So I'll probably be making some adjustments in the arrangement as I go along. I'm not sure when this will be done though, since I'm not very enthusiastic dealing with piano arrangements.

Awesome :)

Thanks a lot.

Oh, do you need the real song in order to get the bass? I can provide that if you want.

Gotank

No, I already have the song, it's just that I don't know how the original arranger wanted the base part to sound.

Wow thanks gotank! I think I might find some use for the full ensemble ^^ I transcribe for a 5 part harmonica band too, so if they want to play it, I just might use it as reference! ^^ Oh yea just asking, which program do you use to write the scores?

Gotank

Sibelius 5.

And a 5 part harmonica band huh, is that like 5 harmonicas or 1 with 4 other instruments? =p

Edit: Oh btw, if you use the full ensemble score as a reference, make sure it's the June 12 version from Josh's website or one of the forum threads. Since I made quite a bit of changes and haven't submitted it to Ichigo's main page, that one is quite outdated.

Edit2: K, finished editing the sheet... just sent it to him again, and if he thinks it's fine, I'll post it here.

Ooh! I'm using Sibelius 4... Too lazy to get 5 lol. And it's not exactly 5 harmonicas... It's more like 3 sections playing harmonica and 2 playing bass. our band is separated into 4 sections: 1) 1st chromatic 2) 2nd chromatic 3) Octave and 4) bass. The bass section requires 2 lines though, since there are more than one instrument in bass. Thanks for the advice about the score though, I'll go download it ^^

Oh wow... the 1000 sparking is awesome! I'm nowhere as good as that.... sighz... I wonder... Is it possible to compress it into a piano score?

There is actually a piano version of SPARKING that was in with one of the Negima OSTs

It's just that the piano was only good for assisting the singers. If you want, I can provide a link :P

As in the piano was only the accompaniment part and not a piano solo version? I guess that means if I wanted to write the score it would have to be in piano + voice?

Sakurazaki

not necessarily...

go to youtube and search for "1000% sparking piano" and you'll find it.

Probably better to hear for yourself.

I've taken a listen to it... sounds weird to me though... I prefer the original.

K, Jeff found my corrections acceptable, so I'll post it here now...

I mostly tried to stick with the original accompaniment's bass part, but some parts are difficult to adjust with the treble, since I don't know how he wanted it to sound in the first place, so I've made replacements here and there...
Meh, I should have probably left this to a more experienced piano arranger in the first place.:\

OMG! This is awesome! You even changed the key back to it's original! Don't say that... You're and amazing transcriber! Thanks!!! ^^

Gotank

Oh ya, I forgot to mention the key...

Yes, the chorus is now in key of F#, like the original. I'm guessing the original key is different because it's much easier to play. So if anyone wants the sheet transposed to the key the original midi had, feel free to ask.

Haha no problem! I kinda prefer the original key too... was fumbling around the new key anyways... Where'd you get Sibelius 5 anyway?

Gotank

Ah, no problem. =)

By the way, credit goes to Jeff, who was the original arranger. I only edited out a few rhythm problems and changed a bit of the bass part.

Could someone tell me Jeffrey's website?

Gotank
September 6th, 2008, 09:36 pm
If I'm not mistaken, he doesn't have one. If you want his email address, it's on Josh's website, beside his submission of this song.

Now to look for someone who could to 1000% SPARKING xD

Gotank
September 8th, 2008, 12:29 am
Maybe I'll get to it in the future, since the ensemble one is already done anyways, so it's not that much more work. But expect it to be less than... erm... good.

Sakurazaki
September 8th, 2008, 02:51 am
Maybe you can work with another person to make it better?

Gotank

Completely forgot about this :heh:

Anyways, here's what I have for Sparking... It seems a bit difficult, and I'm almost positive there are still some overlapping notes between the hands (I've already fixed some, which is why the sheet and mp3 will differ slightly). Anyways, please adjust to your own liking. And I think there may be one more part where you need to apply the pedal to sustain the whole note. Meh.

Oh wow I'm glad you actually still remembered XD I totally forgot about this >< Anyway, this is WAY TOO HARD!!!!!!!! T.T
