AND DONE YEAH YEAH I ROCK!.... CANON ROCK!! :heh:

Based off this video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huplhRTXGOc

THIS IS THE ADVANCED VERSION, soon i might do a simpler Intermediate version which don't need sweeping. That's right guys, if you're as good as me(?):P:heh: and know how to sweep on a violin, then this song is for you.

I'm making song for violists too so yeah.....and don't even think about it you cello people x] you 10000000% can't play this....sweeping on a cello is impossible.

and still no one has made a piano version of this song. i started learning it on piano. it actually wasnt too hard. i mean, the song is pretty simple actually. very punk like and not much chord variation. the melody on a piano is easy too.

anyone have a piano sheet of it? or am i right and no sheet exists?

=D! THANKS SO MUCH! :D

Err, can someone teach me how to "sweep" on the violin? I pretty much mastered the intermediate version of Canon but I have no idea how to sweep. Is there a special way to sweep?

The advance one sounds amazing especially where you go on the E or A string and play on the G string at the same time. I'm guessing that's sweeping. Can someone explain how to do it that fast? :( It sounds impossible for me.

i accidentally clicked the intermediate first lol
thx for doing this, i was really surprised that you did it for viola too, whnever i'm looking for music like this i always have to read it off treble. speaking of which, you should have transcribed some of the parts into treble, some parts have way too many ledger lines. Also, you seem to be missing the whole second half of the piece...? oh well its still good.
and btw, it's not really that hard--ive been playing for 5 yrs and could probably sightread it at about maybe 75 with a couple mistakes

InfinityEX, I was wondering what program you use to transpose / write this music with. If it wouldn't be too much trouble do you think you could transpose this to a Bflat instrument? I would do it myself but I simply do not have a program to write music with, and I can never read my own writing when I hand write music.

Watch people on youtube, use the part of the bow closest to your hand so that you can shift faster. Preferably use an electric violin as it is much smaller than a standard violin so the shifting space is less and easier to cover.

I'm working on a cello version, since I want to play this as well. I gotta warn you though, it's pretty damn hard. XD (it goes into tenor AND treble clef xD)

hmmmmm last post was a few months ago but ANYWAY.....
are people still interested in getting the second half? i'm halfway-done but since i don't have any music-writing software i'm doing it manually (with help from Sang Kang's cello music posted by zippy). so..........basically i'm just asking if anyone really wants me to finish it because its pretty intense (arpeggios in 32nd notes T.T)

edit ; oh also since as said, i don't have any software so if i post a handwritten jpeg can someone type it in to sibelius/finale and get a pdf for me

lol....thanks to those cello sheets posted by zippy i have done the second half of the song...althouhg i did edit it A LOT...the silly guy couldn't recognize the harmonic minor and wrote A# instead of Bb for that whole section....

Anyway here it is, some minor rhythm issues towards the end where I got lazy but we all know what it's supposed to sound like ;P

For you violas, I will get around to it later, ( i actually play viola as my first instrument) for now you have to 8ba <most> of the stuff. The way the key and the strings are laid out though, it's a heck of a lot easier on the violin...

And InfinityEX, is it ok if i take your original transcription of the first half and augment it into one set of files?

Hi :D so i discovered InfinityEx's arrangement of Canon Rock for viola a few months back, and i am still so rushed of happiness for this. InfinityEx, you have got to be the most awesome and talented person in the entire world! you have nooo idea how many people you've made smile and you are such an epic win! this arrangement couldn't be any better and i appreiciate you sooo much for all the work you put into this. it's amaaazzing. thank you sooo much!

and squishy, or anyone else, would you be kind enough to transpose the second half of canon rock into alto clef? i may be able to do it, but i don't have the time. i use Notation Composer and i'm pretty sure the programs you guys use is a lot better. but thank you to everyone, especcially InfinityEx, for providing people with beautiful music!!!

Practice. Do it first at half tempo, or slower if you need to, then once you have it down, raise bpm by 5 and practice again. Once you have that down solid, raise again, and repeat until at the actual tempo.

yeah that's why it's an octave up.

and i wish five string violas were easier to find, violins are too small for me :(

Okay. I looked up several versions, and found two main ones (this is just canon in D, but for an ensemble: http://www.wieringsoftware.nl/scores/ ). I stumbled across your site. Then, while I kept looking, I saw this thread. This thread is actually the ONLY reason I made an account on this forum... so I could download your piece. Imagine my surprise when I opened it up, and found it exactly the same as the one on your website. I was all ready to accuse one of you of plagiarism (of... free... music?) when I chanced to look at the person who posted. It was none other than InfinityEx... I have now stopped looking. This is satisfactory for me.
