(I believe Pokemon Colosseum is for GameCube...)

Well, here's what I have to say:

If these were real instruments, the flute will not be heard at all in the beginning with all of the brass in the background. The trumpet in its high register will most likely overpower all of the other wind instruments.

Based on the original arrangement I've heard for this tune, I feel like the resonance is missing (meas. 7-63)... perhaps adding more texture would help with this. There are some parts in the timpani in which it would be difficult to change from note to note.

Ah, sorry :heh:

How can I fix it?
With more flutes?

Hmm...
I don't know how I can fix that problem...

What is a texture :heh:?

More woodwinds playing at once, and less brass; note that brass instruments can cut through woodwind textures easily (reason for the comment I made on the trumpet).

I can't really explain texture, but here are some sites you could look at:

Thank you ^_^

I added one flute.

Can you help me with the texture ?

Again, the same issue with Trumpets: they're in the high register... which means the flutes won't be heard... the flutes won't be heard because of other reasons also, e.g. there's so much brass..., etc.

If you listen to the original arrangement, here are some suggestions I can give:

*In the original, there's that synth part that is constantly moving...
*Note the movement of the bass in it.
*The reason why flutes work with strings in this original is because there is little to no brass playing.
*Note how the trumpets are used: in the middle register, unable to overpower anything else (as harmonies, in this case, but you can change that).

Basically, what I'm asking you to do is to listen to the original again, but this time, pay attention to how the textures are created in order to learn more about orchestrating/arranging pieces. Take what you learn and try arranging it again.

I will give it a try

One thing that I have seen is that I do believe you should move measure 28-35 in the 1st Trumpet part to the 2nd Trumpet part because you're asking your 1st Trumpet to play a wide range of notes, especially in their higher octave, which could tire their chops faster. Give them a rest! let the 2nd take over a little while.

You also have out of range notes for intermediate level players in your Horn part. The highest an intermediate player can play is about to Concert C5. A professional can play up to Concert F5. You have notes that go way beyond that.

At measure 46 in your 2nd Trombone part, that Concert A1 is below the register of even a professional player. Concert E2 should be the lowest you can go to.

One last thing. Why did you write for Trumpets in C? Unless for some reason you have a band with a bunch of C Trumpets that works. If not you need to change that to Trumpets in Bb or your trumpets will not sound right. :heh:

Hello, it's me again

I would say that it is playable, except that some of the saxophone parts are too low (the alto and tenor). For example, i saw the alto with a low F, Alto's cant get that low...

On another note, you're good at making arrangements :)

Hmm, in which measure?
How low/high can I play with an alt and tenor saxophone?

On another note, you're good at making arrangements :)

Thank you ^.^

I've fix some things...

Is it now playable?

I've also change the key several times. Is it correct?

EDIT: Finished...

Very nice! ... but I really don't like all the unison, the ending with that random violin chromatic stuff, or that chord at measure 10. Also, the horns may bop you on the head for that lick at the beginning.

But it's okay, isn't it :P?
Or should do something else?

or that chord at measure 10.

It sounds a little bit weird, I know^.^
But I think, the orignial sounds weird, too :heh:

Yeah, it's maybe a bit difficult to play^^

Thx for you comment :)

I've arranged Super Mario 64 - Ending :)

I had problems setting the pedals... :heh:
