COMPOSITIONS

1. Divine
This compositions is describe about how I feel in a church, when sometimes I think I 'hear' the Voice of Divine.
In (1. Prelude) I want to describe the feeling that I have when the first time I go to the church. It's boring & useless, yet there's a 'force' that still make me want to go the church.
The secong part (2. Grace) is when the magic begins. Suddenly, maybe when I heard the choral singing or when I listen to the preach, I learn or discover something in this life. It feels like a voice have spoken to me in my heart.
The last part (3. Dream) is when I try to understand this feeling, this 'voice'.

2. Hope
This compositions tell a short story about someone who find or discover hope in his life through his despair.
(1. Lonely) describe this person feeling. He feels bad about this world. Looks like this world is his enemy.
In (2. Reminiscence ~ Smile), he try to remember the (good) experience he had in the past.
And in the (3. Garden), finally this person is able to see a hope in his life. Life is not that simple. Sometimes this life is really sucks, but there's always good time to remember. And it gives us strength to continue.

3. The Most Beautiful Places
I'm trying to describe a few places I've been.
(Wind from the West) describe some feeling I get from the 'old' America. Where I think about cowboy, guns, etc.
I try to remember the joy I feel in (The Woods). When I was a small boy, I used to play in the woods near my house.
In (Farm House) I'm trying to describe the farm I see in my hometown.
(Mountain) describe the feeling when I go to the mountain. I really love it!

ARRANGEMENTS

1. FFVII ~ Tifa's Theme (Acoustic Guitar)
This is the arrangements for Tifa's Theme from Final Fantasy VII. I made it for solo guitar. I'm trying to make this arrangement simple to capture the essence of smooth & clean that I feel from this compositions.

2. Chrono Cross ~ Reminiscence (Acoustic Guitar)

3. FFX ~ Yuna's Determination (Acoustic Guitar)

Divine: Prelude- it does work to describe that feeling; however, a few suggestions: later in this piece, you kind of relied on a one-note bass + treble; add some pedal tones to the bass in octaves or something.
: Grace- can't comment much on it, since I haven't sang in a choir for a few years...
: Dream- sounds like something one would hear in a Korean drama, anime, etc.

Hope: Lonely- it doesn't seem "lonely" to me. In fact, it sounds quite a lot of how I think "Dream" would be used... first of all, it's quite moving (with the eighth notes everywhere), and second of all, it's in a major key. Long tones would help convey this feeling, and putting something in a minor key would help.
: Reminiscence ~ Smile- Some contrast might do some good for this piece; maybe make the music with a rather "dark" tone to state how the person is now, and put this as a solo in order to try to state that the person is trying to look for a positive side in things (after hearing "Garden," I think you should try to make this rather "happy" percussion part the least evident as possible- you can hint at it, but try to make it not so evident).
: Garden- pretty much the same as the two above.

Concerning "Hope," I suggest probably waiting until Garden to show the "good" side of things; it's all in major and, to me, in a quite "happy" tone, which doesn't really make sense to what you're trying to convey.

The Most Beautiful Places: Wind from the West- can't give much feedback on this...
: The Woods- it sounds rather suitable for an ending credits tune for a video game, other than that, not much else to say.
: Farm House- it sounds very similar to "The Woods" except it has different instrumentation.
: Mountain- perhaps too simple for my tastes, but other than that, nothing much to say.

-----------

To summarize, it would probably be a good idea to try to use the suggestions above to try to convey what you want conveyed... also, try to add some contrast to your pieces, and try to rely on harmonies besides arpeggios. The pieces are too simple for my tastes, so I couldn't comment on a few of them... They are simple, but maybe a bit too simple. Contrast is needed. Avoid repetitiously using musical ideas arpeggios.

Yeah... Thank you very much for the comments. I'll try to modify those things... :)

Actually, the truth is, I think I can't make a good improvisation. And I'm afraid it'll give bad feeling to the song. That's why I just make short and simple song. I'm still trying to improvise, etc, but it doesn't work out, yet...
