I've started practicing Beethoven's Sonate Op. 49 No. 1 and in bar line 31, there are two quavers with a slur above them, but dotted as stoccato notes. How can you play two notes next to each other as legato and stoccato at the same time? :\

Half legato, or half staccato. Portato. I think.

Its like, legato fingering, but with a simliar feel to a staccato. Its kinda hard to explain, its just something you feel.
