did you try file -> save as, MIDI? I don't know if finale notepad has that, but I'd assume it does...

Hmmm, Finale I'm not sure about - try Gand's suggestion and if not, take a look at Noteworthy Composer (http://www.noteworthy.com) as it can save compositions as MIDIs - the only problem being that it will only load MIDIs and .nwc files, so you'd have to rewrite your whole composition in Noteworthy to be able to save it.

I don't know if Finale Notepad is the same as the full Finale program but if it is you need to go to the playback options and in the playback window you have the ability to create a playback file. Chosse midi format as opposed to the ply format and it will save a midi version for you.

Finale Notepad does not have the ability to save scores as midi files.. Unless you pay a certain fee. Finale does, get that instead.

But why would Noir7 post one post after months of absence in a thread that is 4 years old and just post 4 letters unless it was someone else's doing?

The probably of someone else doing that can be high, but what for then? To just post "hlpp" I found it odd. I doubt it was him.

Human Liver Proteome Project?
High-Level Parallel Programming?
Hearing Loss Prevention Program (NIOSH)?
Heavy Lightpath Protection Probability?

Noir7 left? I haven't been here in 8 months, myself. I'm surprised he has been absent for so long. Weird that he should post just minutes after I did, and to say "hlpp". Odd. O_o...
