A fairly amusing game, much better than the first one (in general it's easier to keep the stats of a sim higher, so you won't waste all the time of a day on working, eating, studying and washing).

The graphics look a lot like the first game, only more detailled and completely 3D rendered. I play it on my laptop since my home PC chokes in it (Geforerce 4MX440).

I think I'll add people from Ichigos too :shifty:

How well would you rate it? (Out of 10, 10 being the best)

Graphics - 8/10 (it all looks pretty smooth)
Sound - 8/10 (I love some of the tunes, and the voices are funny)
Gameplay - 8/10 (Easy to learn, easier to play)
Replay - 6/10 (it might get a bit repetitive after a while)
Originality - 7/10 (There's a lot of new stuff added but overally it's just more of the same when you compare it to the old game)

Can you transfer families and neighbourhoods from the earlier Sims game(s) onto it? Is it like an extension, or an entire new game?

Heh, it's always funny creating characters based on people you know. Then you can watch their reaction when the burglar comes in, or a fire is started, or whatever. :lol:

If it's an entirely new game as Yoshinobu suggested, then it's about time. I can't believe all the extensions and add-ons they have out there!

Woo, I don't like Sims 2. It's good and all, and certainly better than the first one (including 7 expansions, lol), but it's a disappointment really. A feeling of emptieness comes to mind also, after playing it for a while.

I played it with a friend today, we had so much fun creating him and his girlfriend in the game, lol

Well, I don't know the exact time of doing things like that, but they did fix the main problem with it. Now you don't have to play so stressely.

lol, make a Ichigos family. I liked the old sims but now I play Warcraft and CS so...

I am tossing up whether or not to buy this or another game...is it honestly worth it?

Weird, the screenshot looks a bit like something out of Age of Mythology :huh: I played Sims 1 but I never really got into it - they were always moaning about some thing or another and it just got annoying. If you don&#39;t like how I&#39;ve built your house, you can jolly well bugger off&#33; :bleh:
