I've practiced sight reading all summer long... but I didn't get really far.
I can sight read grade 1-3 songs, but at a really slow bpm >_>

With experience, sight reading ability will come. It's always good to practise though.

I just tap my foot and count myself in - in either crochets or quavers, depends on the speed/difficulty of the song at an exam situation
or I have an unconciouss tick...tick...tick in my head....O_O
or if its a song off this/other site that I never heard of, I just listen to the midi or the actual song to get a rough idea for the timing
