Well I've decided I want to start transcribing and writing songs, but I can't seem to find a manuscript paper notebook that works for me. I'm trying to find paper that has a staffs for piano and vocals, but only those two (I want to try and conserve paper and make the most of it). I was wondering if anybody knew a good notebook that fulfilled these two things.

Thanks,
Gogg

I'm not too sure if there's ones for specific instruments, but alfred makes some books like that. They have these 9x12 ones with 112 12-staff pages, and the pages are bound and perforated if you ever want to take the music out of the book.

Since you are using the book for writing music for SATB+piano, there might be room for maybe 8 measures on one page depending on how big/small you write...:P So there really is no way to conserve paper......

There isn't any manuscript paper made for specific writings. The most common, and the only type you're going to find, is the 12-staff styled papers. I would recommend Alfred (as zippy did). If you REALLY want to conserve paper and have stuff organized for you, I would suggest you just get Finale or any other notation program.

I actually found this: http://www.amazon.com/Musicians-Notebook-Piano/dp/1933662042/ref=si3_rdr_bb_product

It has a staff for piano and one staff for vocals, and is exactly what I was looking for. Just putting it out there for anyone who might want it.

Thanks for the suggestions and clearing up on the facts. ^_^

Or you can just go here http://www.blanksheetmusic.net/ and print blank sheet music. Otherwise follow Zippy & Mazeppa's comments.
