ok since my previous work sucks.... (apparently) and i can't really seem to really be compatible with finale i want to know if there's a way to connect my roland EM-20 to my computer and use it as a midi keyboard in finale (if by any chance that's what midi keyboard actually means i apologize for my idiocy and blame it on the wine i just drank *sidenote it rocks to have your own vineyard) thanks in advance (and just to be clear all i actually need is an "yes " and in which port do i need to plug in the damn thing *the keyboard has midi-out)

You just need a MIDI cable, and recommend you the ones that connect via USB.

If you want to record stuff using your keyboard I highly recommend you to get a sequencer such as Cakewalk Sonar, or something of that caliber! Finale just doesn't compare when it comes to a proper sequencer's functionality. Besides, Sonar has a note-entry tool as well, although not as focused as Finale's, but still.
