Why don't you guys just download the full version of Finale 2009 with all the garritan instruments included at websites such as piratebay, mininova or something of the sort? It seems like you are making such huge efforts trying to get your hands on Finale.

Because that's illegal. :P (i think it's funny how a mod is promoting piracy XD)

It's because it's sickening when people make more threads and always have this notion that you can get Finale or Sibelius for free, without paying anything, for the full version legally.

Listen, it isn't going to happen. And he isn't promoting it, he's just saying the ONLY way you can get all what you want- just minus the legal part... well, it's only illegal if you open the torrented files, technically.

It's illegal to be in possession too. The DMCA clearly states you have to hold a valid license if you are to have one such product that falls underneath of it.

And, Noir7, stop promoting illegal actions. It's not befitting of a moderator to do so.

I'm not promoting anything. I was just asking why they weren't getting it for free when it's readily available a few clicks away. It's not like they don't know how to get it, I was simply asking them why they weren't doing so already.

You know M, for a pretentious moderator you're not so much for the details. Crawl out of my arse already and mind the rest of the forum since we both know you're only browsing this section to find dirt on me.

And as Mazeppa pointed out, these threads tend to come up quite frequently, and we kind of already have two established threads for this kind of thing so I'll lock this one up tight and good! =]

How in whatever power you believe or choose-not-to believe in's name is this not promoting piracy? It's clear the topic is about Finale notepad, and you shot your mouth off and said "why not download the much more expensive version from x torrent site for free". Which will either,

Make them go and download it if they already know how to use torrents, because they didn't think of it, or
Make them research those websites because they know nothing of it, and be introduced to P2P for products.

Though you were indirect about it, that's still promoting piracy. Your afterward is hogwash, and it certainly wouldn't hold up in U.S court, which is this site's jurisdiction.

And as for being pretentious, I'm not even going to explain this one to you. Maybe I should request Gand to send you my visitation and activity logs....

In addition, why would you worry about me finding dirt on you? If you're doing your job as a moderator properly and act as an exemplary member, you won't hear a peep out of me (and this is for anybody, not just you; there's only one difference I hold between moderators and normal users, and that's editing). An example of this was your recent declaration to the composers of the forum and how I discreetly addressed it in private rather than public to prevent conflict, and how I did not remove the thread or change it in any way. I feel as though I should start posting my comments and opinions in the open if you attack my content with a fallacy and then attack my character like you just did.

I'll say this bluntly, because it looks like I do have to remind you, don't make me point this out again. Once was fine, this second time was annoying, and I'm not quite certain how the third will turn out, but I'm certain that it will not be favorable for the both of us.

As you said yourself: If I've brought you to anger, drive that into your moderation ability and blow me away! Albeit I slightly modified it, but you will whole heartedly agree with the statement as it fits your template, right?
